Mate, seriously...you need to let your love affair with Mowbray go. You're getting as bad as a jilted jealous ex...

He said the same about Pressley, the guy who hasn't had a job since... Fleetwood.

No i didnt. i hated pressley and very happy when he sacked. games were so boring near the end.

Unless you have proof to back your claims up consider yourself a blatant liar which is pretty messed up when you think about it

Unless the rumour about a cash investment is true.
Then I expect us to just about survive a relegation battle.
If we cut the budget again to try and break even as crowds will dwindle more with the relegation battle then next season we will go down.
If we get a decent cash investment and sign a key player throughout the spine of the team
GK
CB
CM
CF

Who knows a late surge for promotion could be a possibility

I expect a relegation fight and it's 50-50 whether we stay up or not.

The saddest part is even if we stay up this season I think we will go down next season. That's the worst bit. No hope.

My hope is long term. This cant go on forever, so eventually SISU will go, when I don't know, but they will. That's the hope that keeps me going, or that someone stupid invests heavily in us.

It has the potential to get very ugly after Christmas - there's a lot to get right/wrong before the end of the season. A decision on the manager and any replacement. A player sale or two to compensate this year's low crowds. Further dwindling crowds as any player sale will be the straw that breaks a few more backs. Several loanees that need replacing and improving on. And that's just to get us through to the end of the season. There's still the unresolved academy situation and things like bigi's expiring contract to address at the end of it. Depressing times.

Fair points but the the latter won't happen. Is anyone that stupid?

Also sisu will eventually go I agree but what's left when they go and where will ccfc? My guess is worse than now And now is a real low for me.

This time last year we were worried that we would lose our loanees.
Now I think we are hoping that we can replace most of them with better loan options. In that respect a new manager might help.
I think there is enough in the team to avoid relegation, just, if we can accumulate points steadily, but, as the squad is now, I don't think we are capable of a late relegation fight.
More investment. I think I might be too old to go to games before that happens. I wish it were otherwise.

5 wins in 8 before a bad result and you all have us down as no hopers? It is not as bad as you think. If we get a striker in and a couple of experince players in January I think a run towards the playoffs could be on.

another season of struggle, the low crowds feeds in to poorer finances, savings on costs, players and staff, decreasing confidence and reliance on youngsters not strong enough to cope........ the circle keeps going round and unhappily downward

I hope that we will be comfortably mid table but I fear I will be keeping everything crossed we are safe come next April

A little extra investment, and some decent decisions on players would make all the difference but I am not convinced that will happen .....17th or 18th

Considering your reply, you may not of been the one I was thinking of after all, so for that, take my apology ;)

Of course much better to start another pointless row over somebody else's post than to express your own opinion on the subject that drew you into the thread in the first place - after all there aren't enough cyber-rows on here already ...

I totally agree, but thinking they will go is the thing that keeps my hope for the club and its future.

We are a very poor team a couple of player could be sold at Christmas going nowhere fast.were doomed iv given up.
We can't afford to sell anyone. They would want too much money for taking any of our players on.

The most worrying thing for me wasn't Saturdays performance, it was Venus's reaction.
Can't believe how negative he was.
We've shown enough since he took over to suggest we can survive in this league but he was so downbeat that it must transmit to the players.
With a bit of a rejig in January I think we can be lower mid table.

I think I have learnt over the years it is best not to have CCFC expectations

I've said from the start of the season we are getting relegated. So if we don't that is a bonus. We have been seriously shafted and took a high risk gamble with our recruitment strategy. I.E trying to sign players that were far too good for us and it didn't pay off

We are dog shit so staying up would be an achievement. We need a good league 1 manager and of course investment fast or league 4 here we come.

So according to YOUR rules, no-one is allowed to browse through posts without posting something themselves? Okay, just for you: I have NO expectations regarding the rest of the season. However, I was interested to know why people used the word "This" to start a post. This has been answered, thank you.

Not my rules at all simply an observation that you browsed rge thread on a few occasions but only posted to suggest someone else's response was daft but not offer your own thoughts. Anyhow the irony is that the potential row I was deeming pointless I am now in part creating so my last post on the subject.

I think Venus is likely to stay as manager until the end of the season. Anyone hoping for a new manager by january is in for a rude awakening.
