Set Pieces. (3 Viewers)

This needs to be tackled ASAP. It is our Achilles heel this season, we're majorly lacking a set piece taker, 1 single goal all season from a set piece is beyond a joke, we're lumped at the bottom when it comes to goals from set pieces in all of the country apparently.

We have a squad of Euro 2016 Harry Kane set piece takers.

There is also probably a strong chance Bolton will score from a corner tonight.

We seem hopeless defending any set piece or aerial threat.

Cedric Roussel was decent in the air iirc. Other than that, I'm struggling to name anyone.

Was going to suggest Big Ced as well.Others off the top of ny head: Don Hutchinson (though he wasn't here that long), Jon Stead. And Reda was a solid header of the ball in their box, it was just ours he struggled with.

Bigi insists on taking every set piece and he's generally rubbish. Venus needs to tell him to keep out the way and stop screaming at his team mates to pass him the ball when he's in a marked position.

And even simpler than that, we seem to be the only team for which a throw in is not an advantage.

It's not skill. it's basics

I dread our throw ins. Last season I thought it was Sam Ricketts' fault, but everyone's shite at them this year. Got to be the coaching? Or lack of?

I can't understand why we struggle so much with throw ins. A basic part of the game that every other team manages to cope with seems to be incomprehensible to our lot. Pretty much everytime someone ends up stood with the ball and nobody to throw to. How hard can it be? Distribution from the keeper as well.

If we can't manage throws we've got no chance of mastering corners and free kicks.

Four basic parts of the game where we often end up putting ourselves under pressure. Needs Venus to get it sorted in training.

I don't understand why when we get a throw in half way into the opposition half, we throw it backwards 90% of the time and then play it across the back line. Surely we can throw forwards and still keep possession and maybe fashion a chance.
