I normally get a buzz from a new manager coming in but whoever it is won't make much difference I don't think. We can only hope to stay up and build again next season. Something good must happen for us at some point

Lets face it whoever comes in needs to try and firstly make us hard to beat... aint gonna happen with this squad, so we need a new squad the loanees can all go back, is it 6 we have including the 2 Macs? ghadzev needs to go fishing and take tudgay with him thats 8 down and apart from Sterry we probably wouldnt .iss any of them.. The new manager then has half a squad to find to keep us up this year hmmmmm tall order lets hope someone is stupid enough to think they can make a difference... And NO to Robins... dont ever go back !!

The thing i cannot get my head around is how come we have had so many managers recently and none of them know how to recruit decent players....
Because the ones that are any good earn decent money and we don't have any. Top half budget supposedly but Mowbray left saying the club needed his wages and he was forgoing any severance pay. Sorry Moses stopped doing miracles 2000 years ago and that's what we need a fucking miracle worker.

Also that it was his fault recruitment was shite and that there was still money in the budget.

I would like Keith Curle as our new manager, if we can afford the compensation

Any proof of budget remaining, considering we we looking for freebies when the last window closed, how has that turned out?...

Absolute dreamer.

How many players went for transfer fees in league one?

Where are the figures for these fees?

You've also missed the point, where is proof of budget left? I'm saying there is none, people like you and Prick are saying there is a budget left... even after we were ALL told players were coming in from September onward.

Again, how did that turn out?...

Lets be honest unless we get at least one decent striker, defender and midfielder, in it does not matter who the manager is.

Ah, clever play on words.

He only asked how many players went for a fee? No doubt somebody made up that there were no fees and it was a lie and you were all over it and believed it because they said sisu out at the end?

Who was it who said players were coming in? Mowbray admitted himself he fucked up the recruitment.

I asked for proof of fees, not hard to deliver on is it?

Well it kind of is when it was undisclosed like near enough all other transfers going on in the football league nowadays.
So they could be £10,000 fee's but it's all good because we paid money for 2 players? One of them we had to sell Vincelot to get in, but you still believe money is left in a budget?

And just for you nick:

SISU OUT!

What are you getting so angry about? Mowbray said there was budget and they were looking at free agents, he brought in 1 or 2 trialists but didn't take them on - that finnish defender that mowbray didn't rate has been playing champions league.

D&R turned down a decent offer from Charlton for Jones, so we must have paid a decent whack.

How many teams paid fees? The truth is in league one the vast majority of signings are free or loanees.

I don't want to get into an argument over this, we're all frustrated by where we are right now. Mowbray and Venus have totally fucked up recruitment this season.

It wasn't me who said there was money in the budget. It wasn't me taking players in on trial in positions we didn't need and then sacking them off either.

So how much do Scunthorpe pay then - championship wages?

I'd love to have Graham Alexander here but there's no chance of that at the moment. If we were to get new owners who had a plan to move us forward I reckon we might have a chance to tempt him away.

It's better when Nigel does it.

I was wondering if a deal could be made with a well known manager who has connections and might want to get a consortium together? Someone like say Glen Hoddle? Or the Neville boys may have been but a bit late there. There must be one or two rather rich celebrity former managers and players like Glen Hoddle who could cock an eye to an opportunity if you sell it right to WASP and SISU?
Someone mentioned such a idea involving big Sam didn't they?
Just getting another manager in does not fill us with joy. We need a sizable impact to effect change.

I honestly wouldn't say no to mark robins. The guy worked wonders here last time and made some very shrewd signings. Used to working on a small budget, but i doubt he'd come back if SISU are still in charge

Whoever it is I hope they get enough of a dead cat bounce to keep us in L1.

I've seen half a dozen names above that could do the job.

Fast forward 12 months, repeat process.

The biggest problem here is we won't get a new manager, for the simple reason we have no budget, no money spare for players or even a top manager. Hence why Mowbray walked, there is no rosy ending in sight in the short term.

So which manager would come in under those conditions??

The club is currently running at a loss, with no crowds, meaning all our funds are having to pay for use of the Ricoh.

So the same people staying away simply can't moan about wanting a new manager and new players when they are contributing to the reason we can't.

I'm not a fan of Sisu don't get me wrong just merely pointing out what I know.

It's a vicious circle that neither Sisu or the fans are actually winning.

I would love to see us back in the big time and will be at Cambridge Utd on Sunday, just feel disillusioned with it all.
