Will this forum continue after SISU leave?

SISU bought the club in Dec 2007 and this forum started up just two months later. Coincidence?

Why wouldn't it be here?

I was on the Telegraph website for years and it was shutting down (Torchy, Malaka and Moff can confirm that, I helped run it with them ;) ). Same time "Smithers" was in charge of it before he moved to Milton Keynes I think for a new job. I also made another CCFC website before SISU came in, but the less said about that the better (it had Ellery Cairo in the header).

I also ran a SoccerAM forum and a car forum for a bit :)

This is the best "rumour" of the bunch though :D It's usually pulled out by somebody who has been told it by somebody to try and discredit things :)

Nobody mentioned it to me. I just noticed from your Avatar that you joined the Forum in Feb 2008 which was two months after SISU bought the club in Dec 2007.

So why would that mean the site wouldn't be here?

Try a bit harder ;)

Nick was a community moderator on the CET site for a couple of years prior to SISU's arrival at the club, when McGinnity was in charge of the club.
Nick like myself had posted on that CCFC site for about another three or four years previous to that, and he and I and several others were invited to be moderators by then telegraph Journalist Martin Smith (Smithers)

The CET forum, like the paper, starting going down the pan, and so Nick decided to try doing it himself, because he could do it better than how the Telegraph forum was going. Simple as that really.
There are many ex telegraph forumites like me on this site, as its a decent forum and as expected the CET forum went down the pan.

Were you ever involved on the forum attached to the club website? Back in the day obviously....

EDIT - Should have read Moff's post properly.

It looks like Smithers has written some Kids Books now.

Did you know 2pac and Biggie Smalls are both alive and living on a Caribbean island together, waiting to make their surprise return in 2020?

Are they looking for Sordell's cross from Sunday?

Nick is that definitely Smithers from the CET? as if so I am glad to see he is doing well.
Now when he was at the CET, that was a time they had a proper journalist, not some wannabe who self promotes his own work constantly ;)

Yes I knew that! I was out with Kurt Cobaine the other night, and would u believe it..... we bumped into elvis presley who told us all about this secret Corner in Antigua! He's been "dying" to tell somebody about it ever since he moved there, and of they don't "come out" before 2020 then they'll be no room left as the house is full the the rafters as it is! Apparently he's topping and tailing in bed with Micheal Jackson and John Lennon is sleeping in the bottom draw!

I read this thread thinking it was serious but although I may have had my disagreements with the moderator don't believe he is any SISU promoter but the title of the thread annoyed me most SISU aren't leaving any time soon, not unless they get a huge offer for the club, there are legal routes to run their course yet.

If this forum does shut down after SISU leave, it'll be because CCFC is no more, not because of Nick's imaginary affiliations.

Interesting that 2008 didn't start until a few weeks after SISU had got their feet under the table. As if it was waiting, the puppet yes-year

Funnily enough thanks to my posting style I was never asked to be a moderator. Forums go back to the early 00's when CCFC had an official forum. Ah, those were the days.

I've forgotten my login details too now. Wouldn't work anyway. Got shut down after a couple of years, I seem to remember.
