Looks like SISU will better them. Didn't our owners say 3 years?
Their fans will be outraged to take that long for a new stadium, sack the Board ⚰️⚽️

Oh to have a council like this.
What's so great that their council have done then? Reading that, it appears the council have made it clear they would not encourage or support the club's request for planning permission to extend, and that a new stadium is their only option. How have their council been so helpful? Or is this yet another tired old excuse to bang the same old drum?

"Therefore, we feel we have no other option but to find a new site and are working closely with Bournemouth Borough Council to identify a suitable location."

To paraphrase Life of Brian, what have Coventry Council ever done for us?

With respect, Fisher told everyone he already had the locations secured back in 2013, didn't he? What does he need CCC's help for, if he's already solved the conundrum?

And, stated he didn't want CCC's help:

'Any prospect of building a new stadium within Coventry’s boundary was completely ruled out during the meeting – with unproven allegations of wrongdoing against Coventry City Council cited as the reason for that. Comments attributed to Tim Fisher in the meeting read: “There are investors interested, so long as the physical resource is outside of Coventry (due to Coventry Council doing a hostile takeover of the club they don’t wish to invest in Coventry).”

They did exactly this and more before during and after the building of the Ricoh, there's been a lot of
Toxic water under this particular bridge since then.

Christ the council were fast onto you with the Bat Phone.

MMM ' Yes CCC what is it?'
CCC - 'Somebody is being mean about CCC on SBT, can you help'
MMM 'Straight onto it, just let me find a Fisher quote to help my cause'

puts phone down before he hears the CCC spokesman say, don't bother, its not worth it, every Fisher quote is a lie, everyone knows he is Bullsh*tter, the value of quoting him is zero. ;)

Back in the real world, hope you are well MMM.

The deniers are in full flow tonight!!

Not sure if you were referring to my post Wingy? If so I agree with MMM that Fisher is full of shit. I just like taking the piss out of MMM though. It goes back a long way ;)

No indeed Moff MMM portrayal of the man is accurate to me, but more than being a liar, he is a divider.

The irony being, the council probably get more stick on this forum than SISU
And have less defenders.;)

Like for the the way you did that joke. Still waiting to see a "proud of the council " thread or people opening up bubbly.

Id guess you see people asking how sisu get ticket money is defending them, but completely miss everything else. ;)

Cant see that myself. Everyone hates SISU, bar one or two.

I get tired of writing about my hatred of them, they don't seem to give a shit, about my, yours or anyone's dislike of them, they are still entrenched and here.

afc wimbledon.png afc wimbledon.png If there is any inspiration to be drawn from the plight of others then one club whose supporters have suffered more than ours and come out of it in better shape than before it's Wimbledon. If they can do it with a significantly smaller fan base than ours then surely we can.

Bit unfair to brand MMM a council stooge. He probably just fancied a bit of fresh air having been firmly stuck up nick Eastwoods rectum for two years.

Probably what Bournemouth are likely to experience should they end up potless and relegated.
I guess they'd try and approve some plan that could piggyback some further economic development into the scheme even if someone else made the financial benefit.
That may even be a reason why the upgrade has been declined, similar to us, possibly.

Just to add that they've never asked for it either. Bournemouth are already ahead of the game there. They've realised that if you want the help of the local council asking is probably a good place to start. Mind you if I was using building a new ground as a red herring I probably wouldn't be asking the local council for help either. Why take the risk that they may take you up on your request.
