Guys - re ccfc. Gary Hoffman is the only game in town. I shouldn't be doing this - but. He's working tirelessly. Get behind us.

I've been told to shut up - but I can't. Gary is away - working more on this than his holiday!! I believe we'll get this done. If not.....

Listening to Fisher, he seems keen to get the ball rolling regarding investment/ take over! Even though alot of people will say hes a SISU puppet, i have been impressed with his actions so far! Seems to me hes in to do a job and he wants to get on with it no steeling the lime or Orange light that certain previous board members have made!!!

I can see something happening now, the coast in clear for Hoffman to come in and make a bid!!!

Ok, he's said Gary Hoffman now! I hope this doesn't ruin anything although, as HackneyFox said the other day, if somebody tweeting something (and let's face it, it's not exactly mindblowing stuff) does ruin it, you have to question how serious they were.

Come on GH, put your money on the table and show everyone you're serious.

IT IS TOO LATE!!

The takeover will come too late to save us from relegation i fear...

However, SISU will have gone and we can build a fantastic promotion winning team in L1.

We get promoted as Champions and like all other teams we will storm the Championship back to the Premiership!

Operation Premiership via L1 to commence...

2 year plan :D

they wont buy city, sisu want investors not buyers, they are a hedge fund after all, they can afford to throw us to the dogs rather than walk away empty handed, and that is what they are more likely to do. If Hoff offers a few million than maybe they will consider but what about the 30 million debt? are you all honestly thinking Hoffman is going to pay off that debt or do you think he will just do exactly the same as he did when he worked for CCFC before and move the debt around the club, some of us have short memories ... why was hofman entered into the club???

former director Gary Hoffman, a Coventry fan and wealthy banker

if he is such a wealthy banker, why didnt he invest in our squad and club when he was vice chairman. he could see where we were heading. he is just as much to blame as sisu, ranson and every other joker who thought they could simply walk in and make millions

They just transfer the debt into an account held under a different holdings company. That is all that happens in football.

The only difference is that Hoff invests in players and buy the stadium share.

Get to the Premiership and you can then start to clear the debt.

Just to let you know, hoffman is not investing in the club. He is merely the front man for someone who can afford to wipe the slate clean.

How do you know Sisu don't want to sell the club?

Stay off the brown acid.

My parents were always saying that.. God-damn hippies...

AFC, we all know it's too late, but a takeover is for life, not just for Xmas. Got to at least try to get excited at the prospect of a post-SISU future, even if it's still a long shot. Everything is crossed, then we can dream of building that L1 promotion challenging side :claping hands:

To be honest if we get new owners and significant investment it could be a very exciting L1 campaign!

I'm starting to feel like L1 would be welcome anyway just for the variety. 10 years of Championship blergh, that's how I'd sum up the last decade. Just grunts and noises.

I'd agree - I just hope we're not saying EXACTLY the same thing about L1 in 10 years time!

I really hope this apparent bid comes off! Then instead of a FA cup boycott we can fill the stadium and its party time :D

They've just reported it on Cov Mad but I find it hard to see any credibility in an article which uses "been got ready" in that order. I mean... C'moooooooon!!!

Quite, but SISU seem in more disarray at CCFC than they have ever been. The Brody, Clouting, Ken exits (amongst others) and the vacuum at the top of our club possibly points to an exit strategy.

I still find it hard to understand why an interested bidder should not be welcomed with open arms by SISU; the losses are only going to get bigger post-relegation, the gamble of doing it on a shoestring has failed. They've already said they'll only "fund" the club for this season anyway-and I don't think they are doing that now anymore anyway. There's only so long that they can run the club on player sales; it's an ever-diminishing return unless you reinvest some of it in up-and-coming, as yet unheralded players (an art perfected by a myriad of clubs in the past including ours)-which they won't do.

Perhaps SISU have realised Ken was an obstacle to a deal due to his own self-interest (ie keeping his job). The alternative is them grimly hanging on whilst the hole they are digging gets bigger, and bigger. Any bid for us in the summer will be less than now, and if they stay, they will either have to fund the club after they've sold all they can or we go bust. It's not a happy outcome for them. Surely accepting their losses and getting what they can-a few million and a certain % back of their "loss" if the club reaches The Premiership within 5-6 years-is better than getting into an even worse situation, in a lower division? Surely all logic should point to damage limitation?!? If not...can anyone tell me why?

Think we are all asking why NLHWC, don't think anyone understands why they are still here and not willing to sell to get out.
The only logical thing I can think off is January and sell anyone who is saleable or who is bid for and then get out so they have got some money back, I'm afraid thats all I can think off and the only thing that makes sense regarding the way sisu operate, maybe that's why they have not been too concerned about results as getting rid of AT will cost them and they just want as much money out of the club come the close of the transfer window.

I think there is an element of Ken really f*ucking things up as soon as he came in.

He didn't get off to a great start with the council... lied on day 1 :(

He really didn't manage the initial Hoff bid very well. Remember when he said he travelled a long way just to meet them and not all of the investors turned up! Bless... :thinking about:

One of the mandates was for him to bring investment.... emm that didn't happen

Who tied the wrong players to long term contracts...

Also there doesn't seem to be any kind of board at coventry now.

My only conclusion is that they are getting ready for Hoff :D
