That's two negative stories from the BBC in four days. Anything to put the boot in hey Nick
Just a shame they copied it from the Telegraph's article, the other one that was factually incorrect

Did he want Fleck and Vincelot to go? Or was he forced to let them go from the budget reduction?Still don't agree with the TM thing. He knew the budget but he messed the recruitment up. He hedged his bets and it backfired. '

We don't know.
I just see a succession of managers, some of whom have had success elsewhere, being absolutely rubbish when they come to us.
He didn't hedge his bets he gambled on one risky strategy & when it failed was left with a very sub optimal alternative.Still don't agree with the TM thing. He knew the budget but he messed the recruitment up. He hedged his bets and it backfired. '

Or what they offered was a lot.Exactly - the club stated it so it must be true.
Maybe what we offered was rubbish.

Or they just had incorrect facts they took from the telegraph? That only proves your point. The media hates the club and will do anything to put the boot in with misinformation and inaccuracies. It's a conspiracy I tell you.

I have no idea, I did point that out in reply to you asking what the telegraph have said that's untrueThat makes them worse surely. They're so keen to put the boot in they'll repeat known lies.
But they promised 'this will never happen again'Having only read the transcript and not heard the audio, it does sound like a highly emotional stream of consciousness. One poster on the Southend thread mentioned that the fans have been singing personal attack chants like "shove your houses up your arse" or something, which would account for his apparently emotional state and also some defensive tone in stating he only works on football etc.
Reading the comments, they seem incoherent although maybe they made more sense when spoken. It sounds like he's frazzled and fed up with what he's doing; I would not be in the lesat bit surprised if he feels he is doing the job on sufferance and that TF has said that he has to hang on for longer because the two of them don't have the time/resource to recruit a new manager in a shorter timeframe than previously envisaged.
I feel sorry for the bloke and would never call for anyone to lose their job, but the sooner he steps aside / goes upstairs and lets someone else have a go, the better.
I'm always a "glass half full" merchant when it comes to our prospects on the pitch but even I can see us being genuine relegation candidates this time. This feels more terminal than the season when SP was sacked. FWIW I think we'll survive just about but that won't serve to paper over the cracks / gaping chasms at this club.
Don't forget that Steve Evans has possibly been 'courted'...since when he has possibly been quietly beavering away at January loan signings so he can take over with a full fanfare & waltz to the rescue with a swagger...before we go round again in 18 month's timeIf he was my manager he would be out the door first thing in the morning. He lost his cool. He was blabbering like a baby. He allowed his emotions to get the better of him.
He announced the team are not good enough for this league. If he hadn't already lost the players he sure has now.
The club needs a Sean Dyche type character who will motivate and stand for no nonsense. My pick was Neil Warnock previously and of course he went to Cardiff.
I really struggle to think who we can persuade to come in?

...onwards & upwards PUSB
Is he? Well...stranger things have happened lolHe is the manager of Mansfield now, that would be a bit too undercover

I must have put it in a football related thread as I don't think it got a reply.
I can't post on a football related thread as I could never be that mean to you and take away one of your get out of jail free cards.
The last 24 hours' developments prove both SISU and Venus agree, we need a new manager quickly. But regarding the interview, that was the first glimpse of fire and passion i have heard from Venus. He may not be a great manager, but i don't think he is as much to blame regarding off the field matters as people claim. He came onto the board to assist Mowbray. But you have to ask the question, why didn't he relinquish his corporate role after Mowbray's resignation?
A lot of people are linking him to Fisher and SISU, saying he's just as bad. On field matters, sure, blame him. But the training ground stuff, he's being drafted into this simply because there's no-one left to assist FisherI don't think Venus is getting too much stick for off the field stuff is he? Other than the presentation he did.
