It depends if they say things factually wrong doesn't it?
So what have they lied about Nick you accuse lots of people about lying but never put anything out there to back it up.
Tell us, so we can all see where the lies are?

MQ was telling it like it is. To be be fair any manager worth his salt should steer very clear of Cov. We all know that he's right and what he said makes sense to me.

JFH next job is a very important one for his career- and if i wasn't a Cov fan I wouldn't touch this club with a barge pole either!

Being factually wrong isn't the same as lying is it?

I gave examples of what he was wrong about didn't I?

Again still does not matter, he can stand from the outside and say the club is in a state, it stinks and the owners dont care... FFS the manager validated over the weekend the same, but somehow you and certain others keep singing the same tune. It didnt have to be Quinny who said it, most fans see what he is saying and kind of agree with the sentiment.
No it's all lies we have the best team have spent the most just haven't got a manager who knows how to get the best out of a sows ear.

If TM admitted he screwed up its one more time than our owner have ever done in why we are struggling on and off the field. This is hand in hand Nick and look back at some of my posts from day 1 i stated, if you are not right off the field, you will never be right on it. It has to be a collective decision within a club to how far they reach, a managers jobs is to try to break through the ceiling its the owners job to give him the backing to do this. Part of what quinn is saying is that is not happening, you cant build a club on loans while selling your best players.

TM made mistakes and plenty of them, but when he left he said sooner or later investment has to go on football players and to keep them. The word football players was very dilatarte meaning not youth kids, if you remember Robbins said similar the CCC need to help but i'm going because i cant get the assurances i want from the owners to progress the club. Now Robbins had money offer and TM walked make of that what you will but when players and now Ex managers are singing the same tune, all is not well or ever has been well with our owners. And the changing of the guard is dong nothing for the fans just adds to the frustration that is getting towards a tipping point.

Ah, the old extreme argument where you take it to the extreme to try and prove a point. ;)

Nobody has said we have spent the most, I said we had bought players. You know, a fact.

Like the majority of TalkSport presenters his job is to generate a reaction, I doubt he actually knows much about a club he played for over 20 years ago and probably has little affiliation for. Wasn't he one of the presenters criticising the number of loans we had when we were doing so well last year?

The positive; it will raise further awareness and coverage of our sorry situation, albeit not in the best or most accurate manner.

Do you mean the football players like the Kyel Reid who is 29 and played over 280 pro games or the Sordell who is not a young kid and played over 200 games. Gadzhev is 29 with over 250 games as well as over 20 internationals. Andy Rose is 26 with 150 games behind him. He also re-signed Ricketts who was 35 and had well over 500 games and Tudgay who is 33 with about 450 games. He loaned (not signed) Chris McCann who is 29 with over 350 games.

Even Turnbull and Willis aren't fresh faced kids like you would class Stevenson as, they have played over 100 games each haven't they?

The whole "football players" not kids doesn't wash when you look at what he did actually sign / re-sign.

It's all well and good him moaning about not signing "football players", he did sign some it's just they didn't fit in the system he wanted to play.

Of course managers would love shit loads of money to get the best squad in the league, fact is that most league 1 teams have to scrap and haggle for loans and signings. The manager's job is to work within a budget he is given and play the best system possible with the players at his disposal.

Yes, but if he has all these connections you would think he would have got the basics right? They would have told him about the players we had bought, even if it was in conversation about something.

A football pundit ranting about a league 1 club not buying players?

If you want to look at the whole piece and pick from it buying L1 players and the conclusion its just him having a rant,, then ill put it to you, he is sick of a club of our size being in a state it is that buying players is not an option. Comparing us with all clubs in L1 and saying well who spends anyway shows the ambition the owners have left you with, which is exactly why you and others make excuses for them failing.

Have some balls and do not except what they spin you, we are never going to be utd of the worlds but FFFFFFFS we are better and should be better than anyone in L1. That is not a given its what we should be aiming at, not failing at...

I'm not being spun by anybody, that's the thing.

We have bought 2 players this year so the buying players stuff is null and void.

I compare us with League 1 clubs because that is where we play. We aren't a Premier League or Championship club any more, it isn't not showing ambition it is reality.

I'd love to be up there with silly money to throw about but then I am also a bit wary of demanding SISU chuck loads of money in that the club doesn't have. I don't want to have to owe them any more money, what happens if the gamble doesn't work?

What right do we have to be better than anybody in League 1 at the minute? We don't have any.

Nick Sisu ambition is to stay in the status qua and hope fans due to loyalty and pride stick with it to fund this stupid cause.. Now you have pride is this club you love this club ,, Sisu dont and dont have any desire, ambition to make this club do anything other than survive as is.

Mick Quinn's views on the amount of loan players was based on a lack of settled squad and the consequence of not being able to build a consistent team.

Adrian Durham on the other hand, suggested that our loan policy bordered on cheating.

But that was while we're dong well and above Peterborough.

The complete buffoon never mentioned after Christmas.

If we were fan owned wouldn't it be self sufficient? Aren't teams like Fleetwood also trying to be self sufficient? (I haven't seen their accounts, only remember them saying they want to be and their model was to sell young players).

The thing is, people still expect us to have some sort of god given right to be in the Championship or Premier League. They expect somebody to gift shit loads of money (not loan and expect it back) and then just walk away if it doesn't work because they say so. They expect us to be like they see on Sky on Deadline Day where there are camera men at Ryton signing loads of players.

I'm looking forward to your critique of TF's interview on Friday. I'm assuming that you're going to be as quick to point out his factual inaccuracies.

I will have it on listen again, do you want me to list them for you Tony? It's just that I went to the effort last time and you didn't do me the courtesy of a reply?

That's alright I feel the same about Fisher,Seppala,CCC and Wasps but I seem to have a reason to hate them:cigar:

To my knowledge none of those have actively indulged in barbarity and cruelty for profit.

Sorry but no one has a fucking clue what our budget is, just Fischers word for it so that stands for fuck all. Our club is a basket case and the more people that get to know it the better known our plight is on a national scale. Our owners have systematicley stripped the core from the club and were arguing on this thread about wether its the managers fault, the fucking managers fault! The club has been on life support since these vultures took over and if the likes of MQ on national radio highlight their short comings thats fine in my book. You cant tell me that people in the proffesional football ranks dont know that were rotten to the core before this mornings rant. The only calibre of manager we will attract is chancers of the likes of Steve Evans whilst these idiots own us. You can argue all you like but theirs one over riding factor in this clusterfuck of a club and its called SISU. Carry on procrastinating all you want but all your doing is wasting your breath.

And we should expect to be in the Championship or Premier League. Because CCFC is the only football club in a large, predominantly working class city, comparisons with Fleetwood are not appropriate. We have a huge latent fan base and spent 37 consecutive seasons in The top flight of English football until 2001. The city deserves better than the crap SISU have heaped upon us.

No, I compared with Fleetwood as another League 1 team who want to try and break even.

We don't have the automatic right to be in the Championship or Premier League because of us being in a working class city and what we did for 37 seasons.

OK so name similar sized cities with a demographic similar to Coventry whose football clubs are in as bad a state as CCFC

You mean Fleetwood Town FC, the Club who have built and paid for a multi million Pound academy to develop their next generation of players rather than relying on others to provide the facilities

That doesn't mean we have a right to be in the premier league or championship based on how many people are there. By your logic Villa and Bham should be in the Premier League above either Manchester club?
