Seems The CT Lot Are Happy JFH Turned Us Down (7 Viewers)

I remember where I was when the owners turned up. Work Christmas lunch, came back later in the afternoon to find that with only half an hour to spare we'd been saved from what would have resulted in almost certain relegation to the third tier.

No, I don't support our owners. I support CCFC which is why it would have been helpful for us to have a new manager rather than Venus. So why are you happy he turned us down? How does that help the club you support? 99% are happy we haven't got a new manager. Sure about that?

Because he didn't build Burton other nanagers did it for them. Yes he took them over the line and credit for that, but he didn't build the foundation's.

We need foundations...plus he obviously declined because he didn't fancy the remit! So yes I'm happy he declined...because he didn't want it.

That's the issue with social media, people sit and get each other worked up all day. Fishing for "well dones" and things like that.

It doesn't matter if things are true or factual either.

It's like being angry about sisu is cool, first thought for some about Wembley was a protest. You have people asking others whether they should go to games or not, or do this or that.
I don't think it's cool, inevitable and expected definitely, I'm angry with them
For many reasons, being cool isn't one of them.
I think looking at the CT comments and Facebook is a bit of a guilty pleasure
For you, Torch and a few others, you hate everything said on there yet keep
Going back for more. CT comment for the most part seems to be more or less
Representational of the fanbase, Facebook I've never looked at.

It was a joke that seemed appropriate for the discussion ;) (A quote from Transformers 3, changed a little).

2 things I want:

1.) SISU gone at any means necessary.
2.) Fans to unite when SISU leave to pick the club back up from out of the gutter.

Simply because both are possible and needed, for the future of our club to exist.
Can't argue with that

I did 2 comments on the JFH story on CT at lunch time, neither have been published. Not the first time my comments have been deleted.

Thing is Torch, Coventry City FC is all that matters to most fans, it's just that we all
Have differing views on the best way forward to achieve the desired outcome.

That's up there with Steves justification of PSB group spouting bullshit because "they just want something to believe".

It's more like that it doesn't matter what people say if they end it with #SISUOUT. It's a bit embarasing really, especially as you think people like Garry Woolaston etc are representative of our fan base, which means they debate by saying "Stooge" or "baa" if they are shown to not have the foggiest what they are talking about.

Wishing we lost and having a go at fans who want to go? That's another level.

It's more like

What's up there with Steve' what ? I don't get it.
I never want my team to lose, I want my club to have a manager and settled team, I want
My club to attract good crowds, I also think after all this time I can figure out why none of
This is possible, It's a mystery to me why you can't.
Who the fuck is Gary Wollaston, you see Nick on the few occasions I look at CT comments
I tend to skim through and not pay to much attention, you on the other hand spend a good
Proportion of your time on here stressing about what they say on there.
Out of interest, do you think you're views are in anyway representational of the Fanbase?

I must have been tripping, I am sure you said the telegraph comments are representational of the fan base.

I'm sorry, I must have been seeing things!

I don't think I am representational of anybody, but if I make a statement I'll try to explain how I came to that conclusion. If my statement is proven wrong then I'll apologise and stand corrected.

My individual view isn't representative as I don't think any single person's is, but there is a decent mix on here, amongst the bickering people do tend to back their stuff up with facts and go a bit deeper than a debate on the telegraph site, can't comment on fb too much

But I don't take much notice of it, but I would say it's representational of the fanbase 'yes'
There are cranks, people who talk sense, idiots, "know all's" and "Know fuck alls" I'm not
Talking about them individually, just that 95% want SISU out, so it's representational. No"

I wasn't asking if you thought YOU were representational, I was asking if you thought your
Views were?

Edit: Can we make a pact that we don't have to type representational anymore.:)

But if you don't take much notice how do you know they represent the fans? If our fans are represented by people making animal noises or by slagging off fans who go to games then it is worrying :( it's not as if anybody actually takes the time to put points across.

Why does representing fans mean just saying sisu out? There are plenty of articles, plenty of comments on a bigger picture. That's one of the issues, one dimensional tunnel vision, people seem to be able to say exactly what they want and just end it with sisu out, then people aren't interested if it's true or not.

Wasn't fussed about JFH didn't think he would be the answer.
I am at the stage that I believe the only way our club can be saved is by new owners.
Unfortunately with the continuous policy of cuts I expect relegation over the next 3 seasons.
So if a new manager comes in and manages to keep us up. Unless he gets very lucky the following season then I expect us to go down.

Oh and genuinely the only time I hear the words scabs and traitors ect is on here. With other people suggesting it is rife, it's the only time I see it.
I was directed to the CT comments section once by someone in here. I had a look decided it was clearly a bunch of wums so haven't bothered since.
I would do the same on whatever Facebook page you are on about.
Why bother reading about people wumming you.

Speed type on phone ;)
Far to technical for me, my wife bought me this iPad last year when I was ill and bored
This is still the only thing I can do on it, and I struggle with this.
Same as I can only use my phone to make calls, anyway I suggest we substitute the
Word representational for SISUOUT that way it will make you more SISUOUT of the
Fanbase.;)

When Richardson was at our club. And I have thought it each time someone has taken over. So have been thinking it for quite a few years now.

It was more the thought that don felt he had to say that... now... as if forget the rest, but missing out on JFH was the last straw ;)

How long did it take you to get to that stage?!?

I felt like that back when we sold the Juke last minute at Xmas when facing relegation from the championship.
However the signing of Mowbray.
Venus going on the board. The return to the Ricoh. The backing last season of Mowbray in the transfer market.
I started to get fooled into thinking they were starting to genuinely understand what is taken to run a football club of this stature.

Now I have got to the point that whoever we employ whilst Joy and Tim are calling the shots eventually it will be destroyed.

Their business model is mid to lower division three (L1). This model changes with crowds and is deoendant on player sales both of those will naturally drop with this model.
So unless they go we are heading for division 4 (L2)

Nah missing out on JHF barely got an eyebrow lift from me. I was more surprised that a manger weighed up the damage the way the club is run and how that will impact negatively on his career and reputation.
Fair play to him.
As I say I could only see a Neil Warnock or Big Sam type sorting this situation out (I am not suggesting either are a possibility BTW)

My fear is that any takeover maybe linked into survival this year. That would really take things to a new level of irony when some of our fans actively wish us to fail and not appoint a manager.

To be honest
Most fans on Facebook think this forum houses a lot of SISU lovers
And this forum thinks Facebook houses all the fans that want everybody to boycott games .

My personal opinion is boycotting the games next season will force SISU to push their end game forward .
At the moment they are slowly killing us , look what Northampton did , they were quick to strike a deal to come back .

I'm glad JFH didn't sign , as it's another man to take the fall because of incompetent ownership , I just want SISU gone end of.

One thing is certain supporters need to swallow pride to try and find a common ground for the greater good

I completely agree with you.

Probably being more in the middle I'm not saying a full boycott would necessarily work, but i'm definitely open to it.

Ah they've pulped the unsold copies of SG's book, who I think is doing a signing session at Waterstones tonight.
Advert courtesy of SBT. :p

They were queuing already maybe that's why they were giving out big roll:woot:, has anybody read the book is there anything new in there?
