Which Of Our Players Are Not Good Enough For League 1? (3 Viewers)

His best position is out the team. He's rubbish
Absolutely agree. Continually flatters to deceive. Loads of skills but he is lightweight, has no pace and is exactly the wrong sort of player to have when we need to roll up our sleeves and do battle.
The sort of player that would have looked bloody good in the school playground with his mates.

We seem to have a team of bodily weaklings, and you can't have that in league one.
Nearly everyone of them my disabled granny could push off the ball, and they have as much go as a lethargic constipated puppy.
We need men who will stand up against the opposing team, name one of them who you would bet money on in a fifty fifty, I wouldn't put twopence on any of the shrinking violets

Personally I don't rate Willis as anything special...no better than an ok player. I don't think he would make centre back in many L1 sides.
As for Bigi I like him but he is so inconsistent. He is MOM or shocking...never in between.
Lameiries is the type of player that is a luxury...not much use when you are trying to roll up your sleeves and grind a result but fine when you are flying high and looking for extra creativity. Should not be in the team at the minute.
As for the keepers I'm not a big fan of either but they are both lower league 1 standard.
I can't give a judgement on sordell...I've hardly seen him down the middle.
I like players like jones and Reid but like lameiries not sure of their worth when there is a battle to be won. I wouldn't start with both but certainly have one as an impact sub. Both good enough for league 1.

I think he's terrible. He's work rate is shocking he actually has no pace no body strength no ability in front of goal. Other clubs will decide if he is a footballer or not if any contract offers come in.
I would play Lameiras, but only from the bench and would never pick him to start, for all the reasons given above.

Think his only use is with 20 mins to go when you are chasing a game and want to throw in a player who can try something a bit different.

He's definitely a player we can afford to lose in January for sure.

He can't tackle, has no pace, hardly ever scores and gets knocked off the ball far too easily.

I'd keep any player who doesn't take losing lightly and gives everything on the pitch, so that's ..........

They need to deserve to be L1 players

Both keepers are ok for back-up, but not a 46 game season.
Sterry is ok, but that's it. Maybe carve a career out at this level in a year or two.
Willis = L1 standard (possibly better)
Turnbull = has potential, but I'm not sure what tp make of him.
Stokes = Clearly able at this level
Bigi = L1 standard, but needs players around him.
Rest of the midfield = Not L1 standard.
Strikers (all 7 of them) = Not L1 standard.

The rest of the midfield not up to standard Stevenson class above anything even at his young age as for strikers we will never know most of the time Sordell is out on the wing we got Reid and Jones to do that. If players like Lameries was playing for one of the top teams in our league I e Sheffield Utd you would soon see how good he was ours is not the team to be playing him in.

Think that is spot on about Stevenson. He is head and shoulders above every other player in that midfield, McCann apart.

Haven't been including him in the list because he is going very, very shortly.

Obviously if they are reading this thread the team will be full of confidence tonight! We are a league 1 club and teams like us don't have stand out Maradona type players else they would not be here would they! We should be talking about the collective , what is happening in training! Who is giving them direction . We need a manager that can hold their respect and can manage people to a position where they will run through brick walls for him. 1 or 2 players firing on all cylinders during a match is not good enough. Hence the reason why supporters are like the wind in their opinions about players and they will change every game that they see them playing. I think I would struggle to play in a toxic atmosphere listening to all the poisonous , down right insulting remarks a lot of time. To be quite honest if players are as someone says "Had enough" and will be gone by January then I would expect those players to be playing out of their skins to get a move but that is not the case is it. Are we good enough as a collective then I would say yes on the proviso that we can get a good enough manager IMHO.

All of them bar Bigi, Haynes and Stevenson. We should be building our team around those three players. How none of you can see this amazes me.

The obvious answer is none of them deserve to stay, wouldn't worry me if any of them left with the possibility of Stevenson, I think he has a good career in front of him but unless we get someone to help develop him and play along side him it will be sad for the kid with the club letting him down. What we need is some winners on the pitch players who are hungry and absolutely hate losing, they will help players like Willis, Turnbull and Stevenson, these are youngsters in desperate need of some help. When was the last time we had a good captain, a leader on the pitch?? Other teams can do it so why can't we?

Fair enough about Stevenson. I temporarily forgot about him.

Perhaps the best way I can put it is that a lot of the squad probably is L1 standard (or just about), but the balance and blend of players we have just doesn't work.

It doesnt work because as much as I respected TM before that has now gone out of the window because his player recruitment was fucking woeful no matter what the budget may have been., it seems he couldn't spot a player for fucking toffee... whatever that means
