I love Jona Lewie's Stop the Cavalry.. Just has a lovely feel to it and the brass band adds that real Christmas aura.
I do also like some classical choral pieces. Think they fit really nicely and I also play Frank Sinatra's Christmas albums around now too.

I like war is over by Lennon and I believe in Father Christmas by Greg Lake, also echo Otis' choice being a good one.
And If I'm not mistaken that excellent Greg Lake song Samples a section of Daz's favourite in the OP.

I love many of the above mentioned, but, and I'm no de Burgh fan, this is one of my favourites and somewhat under rated...
Working in retail I get to hear xmas music on a constant loop for weeks on end. Not only that but I have to ride in a car for over an hour every day with someone who loves xmas so much that all they play on their stereo is xmas music from mid November onwards. I hate xmas music!

i really disliked FGTH - loved Propaganda though - but The Power of Love is fantastic. The strings are to die for. They were taking the piss too.
