just read that our boys in blue are to investigate and identify anyone who got onto the pitch during Thursdays game .
What a total waste of time and energy for an already stretched force.
It was non aggressive, and even if it was still illegal in law , surely common sense should be used.
If they wish to pursue this maybe they should look at their own officers who just stood and watched it happen without a single attempt to arrest anyone.

'If they stepped over the mark' in which it refers to we will only arrest if anyone created a breach of the peace.

No arrests will be made... it was peaceful.

They need to look at their own officers abilities as they looked mugs and didn't know where to go part of the problem will be they lack experience of things happening inside the grounds.

I can see Fisher pushing them to do something as he knows it could get worse.

What I don't get is that they said no arrests were made.

The police went up to stop the 2 people from fighting, you would think they would have arrested those?

The police and stewards didn't have a clue what was going. To anybody with eyes when you see a crowd of people go into the concourse at one end and appear at the concourse at the other it kind of says something is going down there.

All I'm concerned about is the spineless wankers of the the football league deducting points off us.

As one was on his arse you would think they could have arrested him.

Not enough there and they had one waving his little camera about and his mate guarding him. I cant blame any steward for not wanting to get to involved, I would imagine that their numbers are cut to the bone as well, these costs are going to growing by the week I hope fisher has quite a few to sell or he has not chance of his beloved breakeven.

I think if we continued to hold up games going forward then obviously the authorities would have to act -Thursday was an exception and the fans on the pitch gave everyone the message on behalf of the fans in a manner which nobody could complain. Many many others young and older generation would have gone on if they could, eerily there wasn't any appetite from the police or stewards to stop this. I am sure the police commander is saying behind closed doors privately to the club lets take a sensible approach, Thursday was peaceful demonstration. the point from the fans was made let's move on- any repeat we will act. It does seem that the club are the ones that want the demonstrators hunted down no doubt fined and banned. It will not be a clever approach from the club to follow this through as it will further infame the situation

Maybe if the club do get a fine we can go-fund it for them, give them as little excuse as possible for their failure.

Direct action - gets the most publicity for a just cause.
The fans have the sympathy and support of every club in the land. If the cops make an example of a martyr that only makes Susu's position more untenable.

Apart from Sheffield United tossers.

I'm sure the vast majority of sheff Utd fans are with us too. Every club has its numpty followers but most football fans recognise the plight we are in and are supportive.

Maybe the guilty protesters could have the F.A arrested for allowing our owners to pass the fit and proper persons process ? surely there's a case of crimes against Football to be had ?? #Allegedly

Hopefully nothing for the people who went on, they know a points deduction makes no difference as this side will be relegated anyway, I would expect something suspended I hope whatever it is it is released by the FA so fisher can't spin it to suit.

Or they could close part of the ground how about the Higgs stand;)

That's the beauty of CCTV. It allows the 'event' to happen & the steam to be let off, without going in all heavy-handed...risking more becoming embroiled in the situation & a potential full-blown riot with voilence - & them being accused of being fascists (so now they're ridiculed for being 'clueless'...another no win situation).

Then they can track down those that broke the law & warn them off doing it again. Softly softly approach that works with most people. The hard core then become more easily identified & dealt with.

...onwards & upwards PUSB

They will do well to get any id on some of them as they had hoods up and scarfs over their faces you could only see the eyes.
