Wouldn't make mine not as good as Hedman or Kirkland and I am not sure he was even better than Westwood, my dad always says He was nowhere near as good as Glazier and Blyth(both before my time), his distribution was appalling (same as the goalies he currently coaches) and dreadful with crosses (same again)

If he made the all time team on here then it seems that most would disagree with you. I would put Glazier second and Blyth third in my list, both good goalkeepers who I enjoyed watching. I liked Westwood too who I think is the best keeper we have had since top flight days. I didn't rate Hedman at all, too keen to keep his good looks. Didn't put his head in where it hurts like the other keepers here but particularly Oggie.

Bill Glazier was an excellent goalkeeper in a different era, so difficult to compare. Steve Ogrizovic played 507 games over 16 years for City and deserves respect for those statistics alone. None of our other goalkeepers match that level of consistency and longevity. Those who saw Oggy's performance at White Hart Lane when he kept us in the Premier League almost on his own, will never forget his contribution. I just feel that on these forums, we are very quick to criticise and disrespect our players.

I'm making myself redundant (don't ask) at 31/3. Watched City for decades (too embarrassed to say how many) and will happily do it for nothing. Love the club, will play centre forwards down the middle, wingers out wide and promise to buy a giant brute to replace JT at the back. Repeat -will do it for nothing (except travel expenses) if you're reading Tim, and I've already started to lose my hair, so not bothered about the damage to my looks or sanity (as I said, I've followed us for decades). Back to the manager problem is for myself I cannot get over enthusiastic over any one given the current plight. It's almost like a set up to fail for anyone coming here so maybe we will end up with a radical like di canio who has nothing to lose If no investment and it fails

Oggy was a great shot stopper, but quite poor on crosses.

Loyal club servant the man has been paid not done it from the goodness of his heart. I am told is is a good coach but looking at the two keepers we have it doesn't look like it.

He was a goalkeeper who played a lot of games not a great goalkeeper.

He has made the difference for us on many occasions. Including getting smashed up in the process.

He played for England...so he must've been rated by the majority. You're perhaps out of step with that majority, but you're entitled to your opinion too.

If it was Sam Ricketts to be manager i'd give him a fair chance to be honest. We are where we are and we are in state we are, Ricketts is no difference to Eddie Howe, Gary Monk, Sean Dyche, Paul Tilsdale a few have said they'd like him or dare I say even our own Jimmy Hill all were greenhorns when they started. Ricketts has to start somewhere and a bottom of the league third division club is about right for him. He might become the next Sir Alex or the next Andy Thorne who knows. I can't see us getting the "experienced" manager everyone says we need, Fisher quiet simply won't pay for one.

The reason people don't is generally because others are better at doing the same job. Oggy was chosen on merit because of his ability at the time, possibly not 1st choice, but circumstance meant he got picked...actually not for England if I remember right - was it the FL team v somebody or other?

On the Steve Ogrizivic issue anyone who knocks any part of his goalkeeping between the sticks quiet simply must be blind in one eye and can't see out of the other.

If it was not for Oggy we would have been relegated out of the Prem years before we were, he was worth a good 10 points a season minimum.
