Anyone who doesnt like oggy is just plain weird.
If he made the all time team on here then it seems that most would disagree with you. I would put Glazier second and Blyth third in my list, both good goalkeepers who I enjoyed watching. I liked Westwood too who I think is the best keeper we have had since top flight days. I didn't rate Hedman at all, too keen to keep his good looks. Didn't put his head in where it hurts like the other keepers here but particularly Oggie.Wouldn't make mine not as good as Hedman or Kirkland and I am not sure he was even better than Westwood, my dad always says He was nowhere near as good as Glazier and Blyth(both before my time), his distribution was appalling (same as the goalies he currently coaches) and dreadful with crosses (same again)
Being old I've seen both so believe me Glazier was twice the keeper Oggy on a good day wasBill Glazier was an excellent goalkeeper in a different era, so difficult to compare. Steve Ogrizovic played 507 games over 16 years for City and deserves respect for those statistics alone. None of our other goalkeepers match that level of consistency and longevity. Those who saw Oggy's performance at White Hart Lane when he kept us in the Premier League almost on his own, will never forget his contribution. I just feel that on these forums, we are very quick to criticise and disrespect our players.
Lets be honest-it doesn't matter who it is they won't be able to make a difference. What nutter would want to take the post anyway?
Yes, I watched Bill Glazier in every home game between 1964 and 1970, and he was a great goalkeeper during a great time for the club ( I moved from Coventry in 1970 to a town near to where I think you now live, RSB). Who was the best? Not sure, but these are the two goalkeepers that I have enjoyed watching the most over the years.Being old I've seen both so believe me Glazier was twice the keeper Oggy on a good day was
Does he own man utd now?Yes, I watched Bill Glazier in every home game between 1964 and 1970, and he was a great goalkeeper during a great time for the club ( I moved from Coventry in 1970 to a town near to where I think you now live, RSB). I respect his appearances for us now he should respect us and stand down... he has the smell of relegation and we need winners here nowBill Glazier was an excellent goalkeeper in a different era, so difficult to compare. Hoping for Russel Slade still, can see Sam Ricketts being given it tho till the summer
Whilst you pretend all is well with SISU and blame everyone else. You seem thrilled.
You really hate CCFC don't you?
You can't blame a worker for ownership and management mistakes.I respect his appearances for us now he should respect us and stand down... he has the smell of relegation and we need winners here now
Can hear it now....
sams been with the club 18 months now and understands the club... is fresh and hungry to step in to drive the club forward... will look to use his international experience and professionalism to kickstart the stuttering season....
we thank the fans for there patience while the club sauced the right applicants and got our man!!.... blah blah...
Sam will be assisted by the knowledgeable Marcus Tudgay who will rejuvenate our shy front line.
Happy new year and look forward to seeing you all in 2017 as we strive for success.
forever yours Timmy.
He has made the difference for us on many occasions. Including getting smashed up in the process.Loyal club servant the man has been paid not done it from the goodness of his heart. I am told is is a good coach but looking at the two keepers we have it doesn't look like it.
He was a goalkeeper who played a lot of games not a great goalkeeper.

He played for England...so he must've been rated by the majority. You're perhaps out of step with that majority, but you're entitled to your opinion too.Wouldn't make mine not as good as Hedman or Kirkland and I am not sure he was even better than Westwood, my dad always says He was nowhere near as good as Glazier and Blyth(both before my time), his distribution was appalling (same as the goalies he currently coaches) and dreadful with crosses (same again)
He also has the smell of success in an FACUP winners medalI respect his appearances for us now he should respect us and stand down... he has the smell of relegation and we need winners here now

...onwards & upwards PUSB
Wtf has it got to do with him? Oggy played long term for us through thick & thin.So did Michael Ricketts
He wasn't David James though and kept us up single handedly on many occasionsTotally agree.
Oggy was a great shot stopper, but quite poor on crosses.

He was a dam sight better than the two we have got nowPeople play for England and some don't Trevor Peake and Steve Bruce didn't it's sometimes about the moment unless you play a few games.
Greatness is a thrown around term he was a good goalkeeper.
Made my statement time to move on People like fisher want us to get lost in pointless arguments while he continues on not naming a manager

The reason people don't is generally because others are better at doing the same job. Oggy was chosen on merit because of his ability at the time, possibly not 1st choice, but circumstance meant he got picked...actually not for England if I remember right - was it the FL team v somebody or other?People play for England and some don't Trevor Peake and Steve Bruce didn't it's sometimes about the moment unless you play a few games.
