Fans also need to feel the club actually values them. Fisher and SISU have failed miserably when it comes to their relationship with fans. Any company that surrounds itself with such negative energy is doomed to failure. Until some positive direction comes from the top of the club I can't see things progressing.
I did 11 games the season before this one @ a 400 mile round trip, each game . have done none this season and , won't whilst they're here . even blind loyalty only lasts so long. they either get their act together or i'll find better things to do .IF we had new owners and some investment in the playing squad how many fans would we still have left?
There must be thousands gone under the current regime one one wonders if ever they will return?

Would certainly help if we had a policy of selling players, but reinvesting part of that into replacements.Agree with that. The whole "break even" stuff can still be done with a totally different approach and work a lot better!
The vanishing fans are unfortunately in the majority by many thousands. Only the minority now remain. Will they ever return? Yes of course, but only when the club has owners who are positive and can develop some form of enthusiasm amongst the stay sways. At the moment all we have from SISU is negativity and a "take it or leave it" attitude. As someone who was there at the beginning of the Sky Blue Revolution I can well remember the enthusiasm created by the J H and it's owners. Let's all sing together. And we did !IF we had new owners and some investment in the playing squad how many fans would we still have left?

If Fisher came out and said we need to balance the books and we will be selling players, but the intention is to put part of that fee into bringing replacements into the club, then I think fans would be more accepting.
Say sell Stevenson for £800,000-£1m, put £150,000-£200,000 of that towards a replacement (s).
Yes, but Fisher is not saying that. Why doesn't he come out and give the fans a little glimmer of hope, instead of just saying players may well have to be sold and costs cut?TBF maybe that is what happened last season when Jones came in after Maddison was sold.
I think it's more about the proportion reinvested. You only get what you pay for is the general rule of thumb.Yes, but Fisher is not saying that. Why doesn't he come out and give the fans a little glimmer of hope, instead of just saying players may well have to be sold and costs cut?
He could have very easily said in his last statement that players may have to be sold, but we would try and reinvest some of the fee received into replacements.
Yes, agree, but all Fisher has said is there may be players sold and he may have to cut costs. He made no specific mention of reinvesting any money into the playing squad from any sales.I think it's more about the proportion reinvested. You only get what you pay for is the general rule of thumb.
In your earlier example - sell for £1m...reinvesting a paltry £200k for 1-2 you're only ever going to risk going backwards.
Invest £500k in the right single player & you might actually make progress
...onwards & upwards PUSB
I know a lot who "will not give those cunts a penny again".
Sixfields finished it for a lot and the slide and the off field matters since thew return has reinforced things. Some go to away games, mainly as a beer ticket but a lot have just found something else to do Saturday afternoons.
i will stick my neck out and say plus 3000 on the first game followed by a decline to about plus 1500 if results go against us. It will take a bit of success and time to get us anywhere near the 2006/7 figures.
So if SISU left you think every game would be a sell out? the 8K we currently get plus the extra 25K would be more than the capacity of the Ricoh. There are in the region of 25,000 fans who would return, if, imho, this current bag of shit would leave OUR club.
The majority of people can't make it to every game.So if SISU left you think every game would be a sell out? the 8K we currently get plus the extra 25K would be more than the capacity of the Ricoh.
The damage following the CWR Friday night phone in with Fisher has finished me now.
Fisher in 60 minutes has turned me away after 40 years following CCFC. The guy in my opinion isn't as bright as what he makes out. What a stupid crazy interview from him?! Utter madness... what was fisher thinking?
Until SISU go I'm out but will be back when they leave.
PS- the party will great when they do leave !
