Yeah, I'm just asking why.
Internet forums are all about debate.= pissoff. Don't need your comments.
Probably for a few reasons.
The vast majority are anonymous they can say what they wish to who ever they wish and like to wind people up.
Some on here are the thick skinned type, some of those who are not members are reluctant to join as do not want risk the abuse.
Personally I ignore certain members and will not even read anything they say but it can be offensive to some when you are simply told to F-Off for saying what you think and believe.
Its difficult on this site to have a reasonable debate or even stay on thread.
You only wonder.....................?I do wonder about the intelligence of some people on here at times.
Completely agree - this is a forum and all Cov fans should be welcomed- even if you disagree with them.Internet forums are all about debate.
Love him or hate him Grendel stimulates debate.
If you don't like him or what he says then challenge him on it rather than starting a thread telling him to piss off!
Love and kisses.
Grendels mum.
If you ban people for being wind up merchants then you need to look very closely at others on here.
This site is viewed by lots of fans but the vast majority do not join or log on, why do you think that is?
And there will still be people on here blaming anyone and everyone else apart from sisu.

How do you know he was banned?
I am one of the newer members and can honestly say I have received no abuse regardless of what I have posted. I have openly stated my opinions on a number or matters, from the lack of trust in the Sky Blue Trust to the infighting amongst fans and am yet to receive any backlash (que backlash) This is a forum for fans to voice their opinion, Grendel included, this should be respected regardless of wether we agree with said opinion. There are plenty of reasonable debates on here, a lot of the people I have read didn't really want a reasonable debate though they want to make posts and then not like it when people disagree.
There's a fair amount of "abuse" either way isn't there? New members don't just get abuse for posting something, there have been a few new members recently who just come on and post and blend in. There are decent members on here who literally just post about football and don't want to get involved in the politics of things.
People have a massive issue with it being anonymous, like it or not that's part and parcel of it being the internet.
If you want him to go away or not be so prevalent, not sure a thread dedicated to him is the way to go
Because I know him. We've both accumulated thousands of posts on this forum over the years so are not the same person as Otis suggests. He wasn't a WUM at all, he gave a very reasoned argument as to why fans should start their own club. Nick didn't like it so he banned it.
Bad administrator I'm afraid. Nick - if you're so confident that he was out of order please share the post with us which so offended you.
Not going to happen though is it.
It was the one about killing the club wasn't it? It was quite clearly wumming after not logging in for years.Because I know him. I wish alan from GMK posts on this forum, I miss him dearly!compared to some of the posters we used to get on GMK there's nothing particularly offensive that comes up on here.
Remember Smiles posting a banned list once which had 100s of user names on it - though a fair % was probably Bob Bones and Curtis with multiple user names.
Think Smiles spent most of his time having to keep an eye on the site to stop people getting sued
True......but I only get depressed when talking about the standard of football. We are obviously following the lead of our teams owners and focussing on anything but football.ironic a thread about Grendel can get more posts than most football threads on here.
are nick and grendel the same personThis forum isn't a truly balanced reflection of City fans' opinions; reason being that Nick bans anyone who is too anti-SISU.
Sydney Sky Blue was banned a few weeks ago for posting a reasoned argument as to why fans should start their own club. There was zero swearing in his post and no personal insults to other posters.
I'm not sure what Nick's motivation is for stamping out anti-SISU opinion. As for Grendel, he's been trolling for years and is the last guy Nick would ban.
I fully expect my account to be blocked shortly :dead:
Tim Fisher?are nick and grendel the same person
It's Ginnetta is it? Total clown. Nopm then bitched he couldn't get a ticket for the gillingham game.
I wish alan from GMK posts on this forum, I miss him dearly!

who stays anonymous
when it's the pseudonym that's a moron, not me.
Shut up you moronHmm, not so sure about that bit tbh...
Anyway, FWIW I agree that bringing peoples' personal lives into things is out of order. We don't choose our family, nor our jobs... and posting under ridiculous pseudonyms is all about not being yourself really. There are occasions where it might be warranted if it means people are directly involved with the situation, but they're rare. We can all work for people and have an opinion and, indeed, under anonymity we're more likely to have an opinion opposed to our employers, aren't we. Just because we all have affiliations doesn't make us involved.
That being said, the 'abuse' in a general sense is nothing compared to GMK. Football's always going to be a bear-pit, isn't it. Never understood how people can get so upset being called a moron, when it's the pseudonym that's a moron, not me.
Unfortunately I am me. I don't have a persona on here.Hmm, not so sure about that bit tbh...

Doubt I'd find an Otis in the electoral roll...Unfortunately I am me. I don't have a persona on here.
You mean that's not his real nameDoubt I'd find an Otis in the electoral roll...
Think you're more likely to find him with a cup of tea and a Swiss Roll.Doubt I'd find an Otis in the electoral roll...
