After watching video highlights I see we were terrible in defense for all 3 goals that were easily defendable. Burge on that cross was darn right Sunday league.
The team he put out at Swansea would do better. Its too late to set up not to lose, we need to win. A positive set up would also lift spirits rather than a negative approach to not losing. If this is the best Slade has then he is not the man for the job. Does he really think journeyman Tudgay will care enough? Rose left out?...one of our better players capable of scoring. Stokes we don't have time to nurse him back...he must play and we must risk that. We are deep in the whole and I want to see much more from Slade next game, much more.

I would save Stokes for the Wycombe game. We have Turnbull to replace Willis, however on the Tuesday for the cup game we have no Willis, or Clarke, or Rawson, or Foley.

Means on the Tuesday we will just have Harries and Turnbull and then Stokes if we can get him fit.

We need Stokes back, but he wouldn't be able to play twice in 3 days I wouldn't have thought, so would rather save him for the cup game.

Looks like the only possible thing to bring any kind of cheer to this season.

Nothing about Stokes returning to training since he went off over 2 weeks ago, I think he may be some way off a return and still working on general conditioning.

Another thing that annoys me about CWR. That's exactly the sort of question we want putting to the manager ...

'Any news on Chris Stokes?' That sort of thing. They are absolutely useless.

Didn't ask about the possibility of new players coming in either.

Rose? Have you even seen him play, he's awful. I wouldn't have him anywhere near the team.

Imagine Harries & Turnbull having to mark Akinfenwa!

Otis, fuck the Wycombe game. That's not the priority. We need points on the board, the Checkatrade is a sideshow, Wembley or no Wembley.

Is Willis definitely out for the Wycombe game? I thought the Chektrade trophy and League bans didn't affect each other??

Oucho I would forget points on the board...I think we are just going through the motions until its confirmed we are relegated...we are 8 points adrift...leaking goals and not scoring...fucked is an understatement

I think that's because we have lumped the ball over his head. We have a team of midgets and one thing that Rose offers is an aerial threat. When we get crosses in and he's allowed to get forward I think he can contribute. The game has seemed to pass him by at times, but I think that's been because our tactics have been poor. Play to his strengths )I'd sooner have him unsettling defenders than Tudgay - that said, I'm really hoping we buy/acquire a big centre forward by the end of Tuesday.

Stevenson wasn't allowed to play in the round before last because he was serving a suspension for being sent off, even though it didn't count for his suspension.

Ah - forgot that - knew there was some stupid rule. Kelly Evans versus Akinfenwa it is then ! Seriously, I think it's a case of playing a high line (as Akinfenwa can't run) and giving away zilch free kicks in our half.

He can't play in the cup game BUT it still doesn't count towards the 3 match ban.
It is a joke but it happened to Stevenson earlier this season.

Depends if you think we are doomed or not.

8 points adrift, no wins in 12, no-one scoring goals, defence still continuing to let in silly goals.

I would save Stokes for Wycombe. Then rest him again and hopefully he can come back in for league games very soon.

It's fairly obvious even to a chimp that Slade is a useless inept manager I don't even have to justify that statement as the results speak for themselves , anybody who even attempts to justify the performances ( he has had a few ) must be people backpeddling on orgasming his appointment to be frank, just to spear in before the check a trade tin potI crap etc, we never actually won the Swansea game ....... and no I will not be going to Wembley even if they get there .

Get Slade out get SISU out ( who the hell are they anyway ) and get the club the fans deserve back.

As i said on the other thread, i DO think we're doomed....but even so, i can't celebrate or enjoy Wembley whilst we're going down. We still need to fight to end end and not give up so that we keep a bit of pride and dignity. I can forgive us getting relegated but not if we give up en route.

Slade was clearly just a very cheap option. Completely symbolic of the shamble state of the club. Granted he inherited an awful awful team but he's not changed anything in his time here. Him, Venus and Fisher collectively are as much use as a condom machine in the Vatican.

I actually agree with the Rose not being as good as people think he is and yes I do go to games.

Just feels as though he has a reputation based on one excellent goal. He looks like he can't be arsed half the time.

Yeah, considering our predicament in the league, there is no way Slade was the cheap and easy option. Far from it.

No one said he was the cheap option when we first appointed him. In fact it was a huge majority of positive reactions.

He's not a footballer, he's technically poor but he is an athlete. Poor mans Telfer.

Way things are maybe better to have left Venus in charge...in fact we should have left TM in charge to keep CC4L happy

You could say that about half the team but we have what we have, and sadly that's not a lot.
