Anyone just see the tackle in the Newcastle game? (1 Viewer)

QPR full back goes flying in with a crunching tackle. Takes the ball then the player.

Much worse than Willis's I would say. Newcastle player left writhing in agony.

Result, no red card, no yellow card, no free kick. Just a throw in.

Yes, saw that. Couldn't believe that the assistant referee just stood there and accepted the challenge. Even seemed to say that there wasn't a foul to the referee when he came across.Mind you that game was littered with hefty tackles and challenges and the ref seemed to take the attitude 'if you want to kick each other then I'm happy to let you get on with it!'

'Inconsistency' being the official motto of the P.R.A.(t) The term 'referee's assistant' makes a complete mockery of the noun. They are still just linesmen - being the adjudicators of three (one imaginary) Oh and they check the studs of oncoming substitutes, don't they? Or is that now the job of the fourth bloke who holds a board?
