Luckily the sky-engineered hyped up transfer deadline day just gone was such a colossal waste of time they had to play football instead.

Idiot yes. Dull....Grendull sounds better :)

You spend the vast majority of your time on here having a go at anyone but SISU. You even said that they lost the last JR on purpose. I wouldn't be surprised if you have lost money investing in SISU.

I didn't say they lost on purpose - I said that that he strategic intent is to drag out court cases and the result is inconsequential and an appeal is their form of victory.

How would that be defending them out of interest?

Inconsequential? It cost CCFC everything.

Victory? WTF did they gain from it to be considered a victory.

And yes you did say they lost on purpose. I even spelled it out in reply to you at the time giving you the opportunity to back track because it was such a ridiculously stupid statement to make that even I took pity on you. Your response was to confirm that they lost on purpose. There's no helping you sometimes.

I did think that also as virtually nothing happening just reporters like Corkie standing out in the rain all day. Part if the problem is deals going through hours later as well, but mainly only the desperate spend in Jan.

Here's you go.

Appeal Decision?

And I quote "I would say it's looking likely they are still sticking to Plan A. Make the court case last as long as possible which is only achieved by losing and appealing"

This is what you said after I pointed out that you were suggesting that plan A was to lose deliberately.

You then went on to say

"The case presented was always going to lose. More significantly if they had won what would they have achieved? It's clearly in their interests to keep ACL in the court room and create uncertainty.

I'm not approving it but it is what it is"

The appeal was more beneficial that was any other alternative.

Everyone acknowledged that the case could never be won as I pointed out at the very beginning.

Time and delays are considered the victory. Especially when one considers the rewards of a victory are likely to be very inconsequential. It's really not hard to see that the case is the strategy not the outcome.

I was surprised to hear he was on the radio, I assumed he only worked two days per year.

Yep, what's wrong with that? We all know that Fisher's hands are tied to a certain extent. Not defending him but he's just an employee of the club at the end of the day.

The real problem is above Fisher.
He is not an employee of the club.

I agree with that. I actually think Fisher wants the best for the club, but just has no idea how to go about it. I think his true crime is incompetence rather than disinterest or arrogance (which are his defense mechanisms imho).

This is bigger bollocks than you normally come out with. You knew that everyone else involved had done unlawful things and that SISU would win. So to try and save face you said they lost on purpose.

I suppose next you will tell us that you never called the arena a white elephant that nobody else would be interested in.

I always said they would lose. I pointed to the fact that they refused to pay rent as the deciding factor. As usual you make a random statement with no back up evidence at all.

The arena is clearly a white elephant. If it isn't I guess JR3 could be based around the fact that the purchase price originally proposed was not only halved but a sixfold lease extension was granted to even get to that value.

Any leashold under 100 years is severly compromised in value.

It was clearly worthless - or the leasehold would not have been extended.

And the meaning to the saying 'white elephant' is?

The opposite of what you seem to be trying to make out.

Which is what - what is your interpretation of Siam and his definition?

I remember that and he was not the only one saying it, but he was vocal. Remember getting put down when I mentioned that the football club are not the only players in town and there are many investors who would jump at the chance of owning the stadium or the land that it sits on.
Then guess what? the Wasps came along and all were shocked then it went suddenly quiet.

Though I was sad to be right, it does not give me comfort that a franchise Rugby Club had taken over a stadium that was built for us.
SISU as history has shown have been a failure from day one.

Am I allowed to say that I cannot stand Jim White without being accused of being a SISU lover?

Of course, I don't believe your feelings for Jim White should have any bearing on your love for SISU.:emoji_heart_eyes:

A white elephant is a possession which its owner cannot dispose of and whose cost, particularly that of maintenance, is out of proportion to its usefulness.

So guess it's not a White Elephant after all.

Well on a 42 year lease yes it absolutely was and to Higgs it was a white elephant or a bird from a certain Colderidge poem.

And guess what. They negotiated a longer one.

Isn't it amazing what you can get by negotiating and what you can lose by not negotiating.

Me too. Someone (can't remember who) even mentioned Wasps pointing out there European cup game they played at the Ricoh. The shit he got was unbelievable, especially from gren "I know Eastwood was planning it two years in advance of it happening" dull.
