......ah but some people on here think the protests play into the hands of Tim Fisher, though they don't say how. If an Islamist terrorist blew up the subway in New York in protest at Trump's Muslim ban that would play into Trump's hands, but I hardly see how any of what has happened recently at our matches will help Tim Fisher.
Read a bit better then as they have said how multiple times.

Effective protest which one was that then?
After all every protest has been slated on here as shit.
And I don't know you ether and have been in 99% of protests.
Where were you and the others when we protested.
Outside Sisus offices
Outside FL.
Outside the Council house both against the Council and Wasps.
Against Wasps first home game.
Funny but they did not disrupt games but we're all slated on here.
Nick is the worst trying to get everyone clicking on his site, but who will bother clicking next season when there will be nothing to talk about.
4000 fans sitting there quietly doesn't fill me with enthusiasm for renewingy ST next season.
Sums it up for me LAST. Well said

Not sure how I feel about the protest itself, but I don't think they caused the goal, us being woeful defensively did. The delay in game was around the same as you'd get if someone was injured or the referee had to tell two players to stop scuffling, I find it hard to believe that'd have any great effect at all.

I'm not blaming them or the Trust, I am just saying maybe it needs a bit of distance from it and a bit of guidance.

There are people saying they want to get SISU loads of fines so they do it, why not point out that it's CCFC that gets fined for example? Why not point out it's only going to damage CCFC?

I did on CWR last night. I asked for no protests on behalf of the Trust.

You're telling me to read a bit better ? You tell me in your own words how any of this plays into Fishers hands. He has no interest in protecting or enhancing the club, he is there to "balance the books" which anyone can do simply by cutting overheads. He will take us to division 4 next season and we will do well to survive there. He has no moral compass and is universally hated . Do you think that should he gleefully announce that the F.A. have fined CCFC the overwhelming majority of fans will suddenly side with Fisher ? Yes Nick, please tell me how this plays into fisher's hands. Keep it simple, because I can't read very well.

The most depressing thing about today is encapsulated in this thread.......fans so badly divided...almost beyond repair.......when we need unity and leadership....all we get is bitching, bullshit and an impotent and rudderless trust....

Still....kids are in bed, wife is in london and ive got the dog on my slippered feet, a big bowl of peanuts and a nice bottle of pinot noir on the go.....so it could be worse.

Peace and love my sky blue brothers....peace and love

For me any protest or action has to be about quality not quantity and has to have the fanbase largely on board.

I find it extraordinary that people can complain about the protests. A protest is meant to disrupt, agitate, anger...that is surely the nature of protests. I'm sorry that you have a season ticket and consider your entertainment spoilt, but this is a democracy and protesting, in whatever form, is legitimate. To ask "but what has it achieved", misses the point. It can take weeks, months, years sometimes to alter opinion, but imagine for a moment if nobody protested, that instead everyone continued to turn up to watch a club every week, that is obviously being destroyed by an absent and ignorant owner, but nobody ever said anything. Wouldn't that be stranger? The very fact that the protests are discussed here and in other media would say they are beginning to have an effect. Just as the withdrawing of labour is the most powerful act of a union, or a worker, so disrupting the actions of a club when it's fulfilling its fixtures, is surely the most powerful action you can take. The club will be relegated this year, it has no ground and horrific owners who seem happy to continue to destroy it....why wouldn't people protest?
Spot on.

Good job you're thick skinned
No problem with people who are massively frustrated and taking measures of their own volition but the lad on CWR last night wasn't half hostile.

Credit to you for doing so CJ, the protests would be a hell of a lot more effective if it was a large concerted effort on specific organised occasions, rather than a few martyrs being naughty at every given opportunity.
There lies the problem.
There are certain new groups out there who will not join TJHW as we are seen as to placid.
We do not agree with any action that is unlawful ie. Entering the field of play, Smoke Bombs violence of any nature etc.
The problem is that we are an easy target to blame everything on, and that will cause another problem.
Do we disband and then take everything underground?

You've been here a fair bit haven't you? What's the excuse today? Plumbing, gardening?
Wish I had some that instead of watching a so called game of football.
Every week get worse then the one before, I really worry about what will be left by the end of the season.

Not easy but hopefully I did ok. I'm as frustrated as him. That's the worse bit.

Have only read the 1st page but for ffs you fucking wankers blaming tennis balls , I am more shocked by these pathetic responses than the performances on the pitch .

Why oh why is it that the protests only affect city players and never the opposition, because we are shit regardless.
The 1st goal was because of the tennis balls.?....if anyone thinks that then they are clueless. just look at burge no mans land again
Here are the 'highlights' no tennis balls also no defence.
Coventry 0-2 Millwall

No, it's just pointing out to people who think it is going to be getting SISU a fine that it isn't. Educating people a bit more.

Again, I am not blaming the trust for today. More calling on them a bit to point things out in statements so people aren't throwing tennis balls on happy in the thought that Joy is going to be getting a letter fining her for example.

Fair play to you.

It isn't even "no protests" it is just disrupting the games, it is pointing out to people that CCFC will be fined not SISU for example. It is trying to get a bit of fan unity (which as I understand you are trying and i am fully behind!!)

I'm a season ticket holder and I'd happily have every game for the rest of the season abandoned due to protests. I haven't been on the pitch, thrown a flare and I'm not NOPM in any way. I wouldn't tell others what they should or shouldn't be doing.

It's just my opinion, but by doing nothing we would be seen as at least condoning the way the club is being run. It probably doesn't influence SISU to any extent, but people want to get their voices heard.

They will go eventually, and one way or another CCFC will not die.

I know of no one who thinks it will be SISU who will be fined. Most people are educated enough to know that it is the club that will be fined. They are venting their anger essentially at SISU, and at Tim Fisher who is seen as the puppet of SISU . They may be doing it in a way which damages the club but I doubt it will stop them. Some people are now too angry to care . They don't need "educating", they want change.

So how will it get change and achieve anything?

There are plenty of people who think SISU will be fined and not CCFC. There is no logic to it or thought behind it. People were jumping around happy like it was the best thing ever. It seems to be past protest and just people seeing what they can get away with doing. There wasn't any message to it. At least with protests like the coffin they have a message behind them and some thought going into them and didn't disrupt a game.

Have you ever seen the reaction like today between fans? It's all well and good people saying nothing happened.
