Firstly sorry to Nick as I know this has been covered in other threads but I thought it was best for it to have one of it's own.

Tomorrow night we (the Trust) want it to be about the team and for fans to show their colours. We have purchased several thousand sheets of paper and need a couple of people to help us put them on the seats. It'll be either sky blue block, white block, sky blue block, white block, etc or the same but with a darker blue edging. When the teams come out and during Jimmy's video on the screen we want everyone to hold them up and sing the Sky Blue song. We are meeting at the Ricoh between 5 and half past and if you can help please let me know. Let's show our colours and make it a sea of sky blue and white stripes! In addition if I can please ask everyone to fold up their sheet and take it home it would help greatly with the clean up afterwards!

I can't get there til after 6. Is that any use to you?

If I see anyone with a wad of paper I will gladly take some off them and put them in my row and the one above and below.

I am Block 20.

I might be able to help, although I have not purchased a ticket for the match so would need to be escorted off the premises, if required to assist you, before the gates open

How many blocks of seats will be covered? I would avoid block 22 as quite a few empty seats, but most other blocks pretty well populated.

Also, is there any way to donate towards the paper it towards a cup of tea fund?

Would happily take donations towards the cost but as Jimmy made us Sky Blue in the first place I would rather the money was donated to either the Alziemers Society or the Jimmy Hill Legacy Fund.

Sure? I'll chuck a tenner to the fund in the morning!

Is it just the paper or to take flags and wear colours etc?

Good man. Was thinking of suggesting wearing Sky Blue but as it'll be cold and jackets that colour are rare I didn't really see the point!

Excellent idea!!! Generate some support from the off...
Hold on, hold on.... cue 7000 paper aeroplanes descending on to the pitch..
I'll find a link to make some proper gliders!!! hopefully a bit of a breeze to make the pitch.
Get the kids on them in the sky blues jnr zone.
Furthest plane to go wins a executive box v Gillingham.
Seriously let's not do it at a point that will be seen to cost us any extra concentration... home or away team goal kicks only!

Sounds like you should check Corrados thread, unless that is you don't want to go.
Hope I haven't made the wrong assumption and patronised you.

We have to be out of stadium by 6.30 when gates open officially so no problem.

Not patronising in any way; sadly I've now just become totally exasperated with everything going on, that I just don't have it in me any more to sit through 90 minutes of whatever is dished out...sadly I'm not even slightly excited about this being a semi final, and I appreciate that I may well be in a minority of one. I hope they win, of course, and please don't worry I won't be desperately trying to get a ticket if they make the final. For all those going, I hope you all have a wonderful evening and get the result your unwavering support deserves.

Great idea. Fantastic to try and make use of the potentially positive feeling, or at least more excitment than usual, around tomorrow's game.

It's also great to see it's about the football too, let's hope it gives the players confidence and motivation, in addition to instilling some passion.

I would offer to help but my pre match plans mean I won't be there until just before kick off.

I am working from home tomorrow though, so if there is anything you need during the day I'm happy to help.

Not being funny, CJ, but for the white paper why didn't you just ask on here?

We all surely have A4 white paper and could have had that covered from the off, only needing then the sky blue to go with it.

I would have gladly brought a team of paper along.

It's a shame the cameras are positioned where they are, as it would have been lovely to have captured it all.
