if we going to win then we need to put 5 in midfeild and stop lumping ball up to tudgay and Beavon who are to small to compete with centre halves, i have never seen Folivi play for Watford to comment on him so no idea what he will offer.

my team would be

RCC
DKE Turnbull Harries Haynes
Bigi Stevenson(if fit)
Rose Jones Lameiras
Beavon

i like rose in the wide AMR position as he gets in to box at back post and actually gives us some sort of threat.

i would play Jones number 10 and let him look for any lay offs from beavon to break through with some sort of pace, he cant be worse than what we have tried.

seems harsh on G Thomas to leave him out as i actually think he has shown promise, i would play him and rose deeper if stevenson isnt fit.

Just can't see us winning this obviously I hope we do though.
On their 1-0 win against Portsmouth this weekend the write up mentioned that they are organised and professional.
Also they beat Millwall away 3-1 in the second round.
So I hope i'm wrong but it doesn't bode well.

I know we won't win, but could we be the first team to reach the final and get relegated?

Normally those who win it, get promoted iirc.

Shame they have to play 5 of the player's who played against Pompey, otherwise I would have fancied us against an under strength side

For some strange reason I am pretty confident. Not sure why. Cup tie at the end of the day, a one-off 90 minutes. It would hardly be the shock of the century, would it? A few weeks back we were seconds from beating both Bolton and Peterborough. We're shit granted, but so shit that we have no chance against a team from a division below, at home, in a cup tie?

Like to think we have a decent shout.

We have played well in this competition.

I feel pretty confident too.

We have to put out the right side though. I know we don't have that much to choose from, but formation and tactics could prove to be key.

Did anyone go to the Wasps game yesterday? I am really keen to know how the pitch is looking now.

Where's Italia when you need him?

Have been to every home game in this competition. Unlike our woeful displays in the league, our play has been very entertaining. Probably the only decent performances at home apart from the Bolton game.

I truly hope that we can make it to Wembley and that the players do not wilt as they have done in the past during the big occasions / crowds.

The headline i do not wish to read in The Bucks Free Press on Wednesday is ...........................................................................................................................................

'Wycame. Wyscored, Wyconquered'

It's not just that though is it? It's also the criteria of players with the most appearances over the season.

Tudguy, don't you mean Dudguy?

I'd put K.Thomas on the bench if he comes through tonight's U21 match unscathed

No chance of Yakubu playing tomorrow. He hasn't even signed on. Absolute no chance that lad is match fit either.

On paper we should win this comfortable but we won't. 0-2. They will want it more and our confidence is low especially after a goal conceded.

Well the back four is pretty much a given. No wiggle room at all.

RCC

DKE Harries Turnbull Haynes

Thomas Bigi Reilly Lameiras

Beavon Folivi

I picked Lameiras because he has done quite well in this competition. I wouldn't pick Rose because I feel he is in very poor form.

I don't think Stevenson will feature due to his injury, so would go with Bigi and Reilly.

As Folivi only had a minor knock I would expect him to be fit.

If I was Slade, I'd think 'who can play my style of football?' then pick the absolute opposite.

I would pick a team of footballers and hope our (theoretically) technical superiority sees us through. Also Burge won't be playing which is automatically an advantage from Saturday.

I'd go:

RCC

DKE Turnbull Harries Haynes

Bigi Stevenson
Thomas Lameries Reid

Beavon

I appreciate Bigi/Stevenson offer zero physicality, but we've tried that for the last few games and it's failed. Get them and Ruben on the ball and let's try playing football.

Reid is not a footballer, just a runner with no end product, but Jones is the only other option and he's like watching a ball greedy school kid.

Defence is vulnerable but there's literally no other choice.

Not sure picking a team of footballers is a good thing.

The pitch was poor on Saturday and then Wasps played on it and it has rained a lot today.

It looks like it is going to be boggy and heavy and therefore not the best for playing football on the deck.

Yep, the pitch is shit, but attempting to play football on a poor pitch will still be better than watching our defence/keeper hoof it, just for it to come straight back.

I also think the three players I picked out are technically good enough to still dictate despite the poor pitch.

From what I saw of Wycombe they look a very big, strong physical team. I always worry with the likes of Lameiras against such opposition. He quite often gets out-muscled.

I suppose if we deploy trickery and then come steaming in we might get a red card or two out of them.

Not sure what tactics Slade will deploy. Also not quite sure what role Folivi will play.

Slade is saying that Stevenson is fit again, so that is good news.

But if stokes is available I can see slade reverting to 3-5-2 like he has previously.

RCC
DKE Turnbull Harries Stokes Haynes
Thomas Stevenson Rose Jones
Beavon

I don't see us scoring other than a penalty perhaps, so I'm betting on it being a long night! Draw/Draw/Draw/Coventry Pens, hopefully?!
