I am completely hung over this morning.

Headache, all grizzly, feeling sick.

Trouble is, I didn't even have a drink.

Think it was all just so emotionally draining last night.

Love the idea of a hotel, but unfortunately I cannot do it.

Booked a ticket back on the train for 8pm on the Sunday (game should be finished by 6.25pm ish, unless it goes to extra time and pens ). Hope there will be plenty of City fans on that going back.

Should be I would have thought.

If the Checkatrade final was called off by the FL tomorrow, I'd trade that for 3 points on Saturday. Genuinely. We're bottom of the third tier and been knocked out of the cups 4-0 and 6-1, and yet people are carrying on like this is the best thing that's happened for years. Come on guys, get a grip and try to see the bigger picture!

fuck off you boring c**t

For me this is all about putting the club in the shop window. This is better than the FA cup for us as we can potentially take as many fans as we want as we wont be limited to the 25,000 per club . I dont know what the initial allocation will be but we will be able to apply for more and I cant see either Oxford or luton taking more than 20,000 so we should at least be able to have 40,000 if we wanted. If a rich businessman from where ever sees the potentail this club has as a fan base it might make us a cheap viable project for them to invest in.

Oxford took 40,000 for last season's final

All I'd ask is that when they go on priority sale to season ticket holders, can someone get me two please :). Been firmly in the "I'm not paying to watch this shite" mentality this season. Last time we got to Wembley I was 3, this time my dad's in his early 70s. Could be our only chance to see the club at Wembley together.

  • I can't believe it. I thought that I had gone soft when I admitted that I had a tear in my eye thinking about my lad seeing us at Wemberleeee. Now I know that I am not alone :D
No not the only one.
My Lad is in uni in Manchester watched it on a packed pub with his 2 Coventry City mates.
When he phoned about a ticket for Wembley told him don't worry there is one for you.
Will give him mine if I can't get one.
I have lived the last 30 years remembering the last one it's his turn now.

Just went to the batch bar picked up the Sun not only did we only get about 4 lines 4 pages back they couldn't even get there facts right. Said last time at wembley is when we beat Tottenham in FA Cup, what about the Charity Shield.
Fucking comic.

Great reading posts of people flying in. First thing I saw this morning when I left the house was a kid walking to school in a city top, never seen that since I moved back last year.
Thats great, hopefully it will snowball like it did in 87. I would worry if you see Wasps jerseys on kids if they win the premiership or European cup

I have seen a guy a few times who's hilarious, he is completely decked out in Wasps stuff and under armour trainers. Has the Wasps shorts over the top of his wasps tracksuit bottoms and everything.

I've not seen a kit in Wasps stuff on non matchdays, have seen a bloke in a wasps hat and another in a wasps jacket but thats about it.

Remember going to twin lakes last year, a family there decked out in CCFC shirts!

If ever a set of fans deserved this it's us.
Just hope to God it gives Yakubu the motivation to train the hardest he has ever trained in his life in order to get a standing at Wembley.
Can't help but think DKE and Haynes have earned the right to be first pick and possibly RCC again.

Any chance of a one off new kit for Wembley, being there and playing in white won't quite be the same

They would make a fair bit of money off that too. Great idea.
I brought the replica 87 kit a few years ago and have never worn it.
Sunday April 2nd i am putting that bad boy on... :D:D

I am hoping that come 2nd April we will have a side that includes Willis and Yakubu (or another free agent striker) and Chris Stokes.

Would be great. Stokes had had a miserable year.

Glad you enjoyed it mate.

To be honest I feel very sad. I feel like that guy at the party who doesn't fit in with the vibe and just wants to go home. Our club is burning and I can't forget that. Not moaning at anyone who wants to enjoy themselves but this seems to me like a very empty "triumph".

I guess you guys feel now like I felt when SISU lost the JR - over the fucking moon!

I don't actually think staying up will necessarily do us many favours, it's hardly the shot in the arm that a Wembley appearance is.

I disagree - if (if - haha) we go down then the trap door to oblivion awaits.

That's my fear too. Have we the infrastructure in place and a plan for rebuilding to ensure a relegation is a temporary blip or are we a chaotically run club that has no strategy? Yes we all know it's the later. I certainly can't see us returning after a single season. More likely in my view is either further relegation or the winding up of the club.

Rather than that, it would be great to see 50,000 wearing Sky Blue 87 replica t-shirts with a checkatrade final reference around the badge and SISU OUT across the middle. Someone get printing they'll sell fast!

they've both taken near 40,000 in recent times.

Well thats good, if they get there again it will be been there done it I expect. When Southend got there the second time they only took half the first number, mind you that was done in Cardif at that time.
