Slade has to go, completely inept and find it shocking that he has been in charge since Bristol Rovers Away - on Boxing Day and still hasn't won a fucking league game!
I think he's getting away with a lot due to the hatred towards SISU and Fisher.
Don't get me wrong he's not the cause of our problems but my god he hasn't fucking helped!

2 points oyt of 8 games. 6 goals scored. I know Adams didn't win any of his first 8 but this Doesn't seem recoverable. Slade was a short term appointment but the only short term impact has been to make our situation worse.

I have no idea where we go from here. As others have said, changing the manager won't make a difference wirhout new management.

Plenty of evidence he should go but , has he had enough time here ? plus the players he's got to work with . no so sure myself.

The way I see it though, Bob, is that we simply cannot afford to drop out for this league. Just one step away from non-league and the certainty of another struggle next year in front of every dwindling crowds.

Bottom line is his contract is just until the summer anyway.

If he was definitely staying on then I would say pointless getting rid, but if we keep on losing and losing and losing and he's not staying with the club, then it's pointless him remaining.

Slade should go and take the entire squad with him.

We need a total clear out from top to bottom in order to adapt to League 2 without this awful cloud of defeatism which hangs over everything.

Too much to hope SISU will go but for next season I want to see two things:

1. A young, hungry, visionary manager with something to prove appointed (think an Eddie Howe type figure). We have had too many washed-up managers on the way down the latest of which is Slade.

2. A squad filled with players in their mid to late 20s who may have limited ability but are proven at League 2 level and are able to fight and not be shaken off the ball. Our current squad is way too fragile and we need to end this combination of kids and big name veterans who are past it. Surely assembling a squad of League 2 level players shouldn't be beyond even SISU?

We've gone this season. Barring a miracle we are down. We simply have to focus on how we can possibly get promoted out of League 2 next season. I think the only answer is an entirely new manager and entirely new players. I'd also like entirely new owners but that is probably too much to ask for!

But if we need a new manager for next season and this one isn't staying and he can't keep us up, I can't see the point of him remaining.

We are relegated. What now? Pay him off. Appoint another and sack him after 8 games? Then pay him off and sack another after 8 games again?

We are down this year so I think it's best to keep Slade until the bitter end of this season so the new guy doesn't get tarnished by relegation and we really don't want Oggy as caretaker either do we? Slade should be told that he won't be offered a new contract unless somehow he keeps us up and if Fisher has any sense (which we know he doesn't) then he should be headhunting the new manager already. We need to write this pathetic season off and jettison all of the players and managers associated with it once the season ends.

Nope.

See if he will walk away, as Mowbray did.

Get a manager in now for NEXT season. Tell him to focus on getting together a squad ready for next season.

My whole argument, Grendel, is that Slade isn't here past the summer.

If the board say the same to him, you're now building a squad for next season with you at the helm, then fine.

I just can't see the point of anyone being in charge who won't be in charge next season and is losing us every game every week.

As you say, we are all but relegated. Need to now plan for next season.

maybe not all down to slade but not all down to mowbray either as the recruitment from both
beavon an exception has been awful.only blame for this is SISU

Wouldn't be Oggy. I am sure it would be Ricketts.

Yes but we are stuck with SISU. They have to be told that they will never be competitive in any division - even if we are playing on the War Memorial Park - while they put together teams which are filled with kids who aren't ready and veterans who aren't bothered and are over the hill. Jim White tried to say this to Fisher in that latest interview and he's 100% right.

If they thought he was going to be any good they would have offered him longer than a six month contract, he was at best the second choice

Thing is, if we now accept we are down we can take a good look at the squad and see who will be here next season and who won't.

If we accept it I would now like us start looking to the players who will still be here next year. If the likes of DKE will be here and Foley won't, then play DKE week in week out.

Imho,What more do CCFC fans need to know ?
The chairman Fisher, should be removed forthwith, it was HE who supervised the search for a new manager / coach.
Prior to this his tenure as chairman has been nothing short of a catastrophe.
His public utterances & allied condemnation of the fans are a shining example of a devious myopic individual who hates CCFC.
WE ARE CCFC not him, or his cronies, we'll be here long after they have crawled back under the 'you know what', GIVE US BACK OUR CLUB.
The current manager is doing his best, but he is, as constrained as countless others before him.
IF, you were an honourable man Mr F, what do you think you should do ?

If he was an honourable man he would have left several years ago. We all know that he is a dishonourable piece of unadulterated scum.

Let's be fair it's been shit all season, it's worse now with slade because he plays pub hoof shite with not the players for it,and it just looks dire
Like the I think it was the 352 bollocks, where we never had the players for that either and didn't work , They have all had there faults and are mediocre at best. All cunts

Would rather have Oggy than Ricketts. What leadership qualities did Ricketts show doing his time with the club?
Tbh i think it would be nicky eaden for rest of season not oggy if it came to it. I would like to see jason farndon given a go to he could be ricketts assistant next season.

DKE is terrible. I don't blame him, he's trying his best but isn't ready and is horribly lightweight. Same for many of the kids. We need a team of men, not kids and grandads next season.

Why is everyone assuming Ricketts will be the manager next season? Please no. He couldn't inspire a riot.
