Lower league dogs?
People like Clarke, who played at Colchester and Bury and Orient and Bradford? People like Foley who played at Charlton and Blackpool and Luton?
People like Sam Ricketts?
We've had allsorts. Experienced, older professionals, who should be leaders and warriors. The young kids coming through, the talented loan players.
This club has a losing mentality and has been wallowing in self pity for many years.
Yes a losing mentality that has been there for years. The exception was the first half of last season when there was a buzz around the place and we were winning playing the best football I have seen outside of the top flight. We had young 'non dogs' and they played as a team. They played for each other with enthusiasm and joy. I honestly think if reda had stayed for or if turner hadn't got injured and stayed with us a bit longer we would have maintained our form. I also believe that Kent returning to Liverpool knocked something out of the dressing room and Maddison's last minute Jan sale hit confidence.
After turner, Kent and Maddison I don't think the spirit of the team or TMs confidence in his ability were ever the same.
