He's a fine one to blame the players for not being fit he should take a look at himself.

He's a manager so that is a pointless remark. Sillett was the same but a great manager. He could look like the half ton man for all I care.

When Thorn was a player and was being payed to be fit he was. He was part of a very successful wimbledon team alongside Vinny Jones. How can you criticise him now? He doesn't need to be fit to manage.

What's pathetic , the original post , my attempt at humor or your response.

The original post -- I followed your quote as an extension of the argument. The original poster is trying to laugh at his physical attributes and imply he cannot criticise Eastwood's lack of fitness. He can as he played at a high level for a long time.

You could say that about anything though, couldn't you? Would a film critic be able to direct a film? Would an art critic be able to paint a masterpiece? Can the Health secretary Andrew Lansley perform brain surgery? Could you or I play football at a professional level?

Silly.

I thought the original post stupid, hence my attempt at humor, but on reflection how many chubby managers are their, not many spring to mind in recent times ?

What a dumb comment.

Alex Ferguson runs 10k every Saturday morning - just because that's what his players cover in a match.

That's how it works right?

... because obviously we're forced to read and respond!

I'm not sure what's worse between the opening bile and the sanctimonious responses from posters who think themselves superior. I would guess we're all bright enough from reading the thread title that there were no massive surprises on opening.

Ronaldo also scoffed at Mourinhos pleas for him to become fit when it was discovered that Mourinho couldn't infact out run Ronaldo, to which Ronaldo retorted that "If my manager can't be a professionally fit player why should I?"
