So you want Hoffman in and sisu out but your not prepared to get off your arse and do anything about it?

Just explain to me;
1. What evidence do you have that a bid is being prepared
2. What evidence do you have that protesting for 30 minutes will make any difference to a consortium owned on another continent
3 Why because Hoffman is a fan does that make him likely to succeed. Isn't Joe Elliot a fan -- didn't all our Christmases come at once 4 years ago. Also haven't we been here before with Hoffman. Wasn't he the guy pre-SISU who said some American invstors were coming.

Just for the record I am not attending today. I thought the original concept of a boycott was good to raise national awareness and as I said it I will stick by it but that makes me no more or no less a fan than those who want to go.

1 and 3 - nothing and no guarantees

2 - will raise the awareness if it gets press coverage

I never mentioned any details of a bid,I know as much as anyone else on here. But doing something instead of nothing is better than doing nothing surely? People having a pop at me for protesting,at least I'm trying to make a difference however small it may be. I suppose when sisu do eventually go youll all br lording up on here saying how you helped and did your bit eh?

I don't disagree with that but if I see any more stupid posts accusing fans of attending a match of a club they support as being scabs, traitors, ruining the club I will be changing my mind and paying at the gate.

Your tone is offensive, SISU will go when an appropriate bid turns up, not because you did anything. If people did more in the last 10 years and went more often instead of moaning we would not be in the mess we are in.

No one is having a pop at you for protesting. I'm not. I, and others, are having a pop at you because you are abusive to anyone who doesn't agree with your opinion. Big difference.

Agree. People have stayed away for decades.

I find the way you talk to me offensive, you try to belittle everything I say. How is my tone offensive? I agree about the stayaway fans, they are partly to blame.

Well, I say tomato and you say tomato.

Call me an old stick-in-the-mud but saying fellow fans are "fucking spineless scabs" is offensive but you can't see it, can you?

Sorry torch but i believe in fighting for what I believe in. If you want change you've got to do something about it,not sit there and do nothing. Just my opinion of course.

If the Orange One had not decided to sit on the bench a few weeks ago the protest would have gone completely un noticed. However he has drawn bad publicity and interest froma much wider media source and SISU quite rightly don't like it. The protest has a real chance of drawing some national and internation coverage thanks to the Orange One.

I will be joining the protest and going to see the game at 3. I see no reason why I can't do both. The vast majority of City fans see the need for a change of owners, it is just that some wish to make their feelings know and others - the silient majority are happy to support them from a distance. Both are correct in the goal to remove SISU. Direct action helps but on this occassion thanks to Orange Ken the protests point will be loudly heard! PUSB

I will be protesting and not going in as I believe it will help draw media attention to the way sisu operate. I don't mind whatever others do thats there choice and I wouldn't abuse or condemn anyone for whatever they do as I don'y expect to be abused for making my stand.

If everyone did that there would be more protesting as I know some are dubious about protesting for the fear of trouble from one source or another

Duffy - I work in Investment Management and believe me investors are incredibly careful when choosing who to invest with. They will often base it on reputation and a sniff of bad publicity puts them off.

We are causing SISU all sorts of problems with these articles in the media.

The evidence we have that a bid is being prepared is that Keys has said so.

Why be so negative and defeatist?

Hoffman's consortium may or may not be more likely to succeed - but can they be any worse than SISU? NO.

For these reasons protesting is exactly the right course of action.

I think you're just trying to wind people up on here but you're supporting the protest by not attending so, er...thanks.

There's 3 of us protesting and not going in either. Let's hope a good number follow suit!

Why do you think I am winding people up? Just because I happen to question the rose-tinted view expressed my many? Some posters were adamant a billionaire would be in place by this game. Seems not. Your'e main problem is you view any kind of doubt or cynical questioning as being negative. I suppose you had a party when SISU took over. I didn't as I knew if we did not get instant promotion a nightmare scenario would unfold.
If there is a bid then fair enough but at the minute there is not just a lot of vague whispers and the only involved people we know about are former directors two of whom had direct involvement with SISU in the past.
Nothing wrong in questioning the future when no-one knows what it is especially when "backers" have been identified before and then disappeared.
