No it is not too soon. We definitely need to win. We need at least four points from every two games for the rest of the season.

We will be nearer to getting four points from the rest of the games than four every two

Yes we need more than two points on average per game from here.

Slade is averaging less than 1 point per game with us.

Even since we stopped the rot at Wimbledon, we have P5 W1 D2 L2, 5pts i.e. 1 point per game.

Bit of a pointless thread, in truth, what else is there to discuss about our league status? Is it not realistically apparent?

Optimism is redundant at this time, we're just ebbing towards L2 until it's officially confirmed - do we see this team stringing win after win together between now and the season's end?

Bradford will spank us, then there'll be more 'must win' threads to follow. What's the actual point? Slade cannot and will not pick and motivate a starting 11 that can win consistently.

Hope is absurd where this club is concerned, but oh wait, we've still got Wembley. Fucking sick of this, I really am.

Somehow we need to get more than 3 points per game.
Then we might survive.

It's all about Wembley now, Otis, woohoo! Flags and vuvuzelas!! Relegation? what's relegation got to do in the continued desperate survival of a near 140 year old sporting institution???????? One day out in that London and chomp down on satans cock. Waheyyyy!!!

I think every game since day one of the season was a "must win" game. It's a shame the team don't know the meaning of that phrase.

I know it's a tongue in cheek thread, but I'm hoping that the team can pick up some form to a) give back some pride to themselves and the fans, b) give themselves a chance at Wembley (so fans don't have to have the day ruined by a totally inept performance) and finally c) give some steer towards next season in terms of progress and determining who we want to keep (if we can), how we want to play and whether Russell Slade can convince us he can manage us beyond this season (jury is definitely out on that - especially as today's better performance seemed to have been steered by lady luck (injuries/sickness) than original team selection.

What truly annoy's me is the fact that this god forsaken shit tard of a footballing 'competition' might just blight the (admittedly) sparse programme notes of club achievement roll of honour that includes the magnificent promotion from Div 4, the superb Championship winning div 3, and the sublime title winning of Div 2 that led to the promised land in 1967. And that thing we did in 1987. And that's even if we lose this non event of a village fete 'guess the weight of the cake' type competition!
You shall all have to forgive me now whilst I source the cricket bat of which the handle I will be sharpening to poke myself in the eye with while sat at home on the 2nd April. I guarantee I'll have a better day.

Read Harry Redknapp's book "it shoudn't happen to a manager" a good insight to a manager and how to get a bunch of no marks playing together as a team of mates that look after each other on and off the pitch.

FFs, i hate the negativity, i just cant be that negative, yep the truth is staring me in the face, we are more than likely down, yeah we are shit (that is relative), totally fucked, but we are not down yet, how many times thru the 80`s n 90`s did we survive and survive by the skin of our teeth, we have 6 of the next 8 games at home, there has to be some kind of hope, its obvious after todays performance the team havnt accepted it, its not over, we are not down yet, the maths tell you that.
Live in hope, and hope i will!!!
