Very much a lone voice it seems on this, but for the long term I think Pressley would be the better appointment. Possibly tempered by the fact Robin's walked away. While he was here Robin's didn't or wasn't able to change much behind the scenes, he didn't implement a scouting structure etc. Pressley did, yes he took it away with him when he left but I think Pressley would be the better fit in terms of shaping a club.
The only line he belongs in is the cab rankIf we were just going back in time, thank fuck Robins said yes as Andy Thorn was next in line
Trying to imagine John Nettles saying all that as per your avatarJesus Christ I watched TM on the first few games with SP`s players and none of them would listen to instructions, played like an ameture side and you could see TM shaking his head and walk back to the bench as if they were alien to professional football. We stayed up by the skin of our teeth and thats down to TM.
Robins will do a job but I pray the owners are offski as the best manager will do fook all under Sisu.
Why would they offer it to SP instead of Robins?
And why would they tell Jim Brown? I get that he has contacts at the club but in the timeframe we're talking about and given how few people are likely to have been involved in any manager change I find it hard to believe they've decided to tell him.Why would they offer it to SP instead of Robins?
