Well he's in for a shock. Robins likes players to be physical and strong. I remember once he lambasted Cyrus Christie for running "like an 80 year old granny" trying to get back to defend

There is a player inside Lameiras. Maybe Robbins can bring some consistency to his game. If not he will struggle to have much of a career I would think. (Lameiras not Robbins).

Lameries and the two goalies have to be the first out the door.
Can you imagine Lameries on a wet and windy night playing away at Grimsby next year, he will shit his pants the sight of the first challenge.
We need some hard men and pretty quick too, pussys like Lameries won't survive in league two

Lameries is not with a gamble in league 2... his style of play don't suit our level now.
A talented player but not what we need

Can't see them both going. More experienced keeper brought in and one to stay as number two I reckon.

Lameries should concentrate on becoming a more effective player rather than crying because he can't get into the team.

I know Slade was shit and people will find this funny but I don't like this. Lameiras should have respect for the manager whoever he is and comes off as unprofessional here.

Nope. Does everyone respect their manager in the non football world? Do they bollocks. He should have kept it off Twitter though.

I think Lameiras is out of contract in June, so will probably go anyway

Not everyone respects their manager in the non football world but Lameiras has achieved absolutely fuck all in his career to date, is going backwards and having no impact in his first real job. Robins will be the 4th manager in one season that doesn't fancy him, maybe he should be thinking about why that is, rather than fucking about on instagram.

Well yes. We agree really, other than I can't say Robins won't pick him. And I made an error saying twitter.
My two points were why should he respect the manager and keep the nonsense off the internet.

To be honest a lot of the players felt that way about RS
They have to keep it to themselves but it must be very frustrating to be stuck with no prospect of playing. Lameiras had an offer to move in January but the club knocked it back
But of course he's made a mistake in liking this item

There are times when it is better for players to say nothing, to not show a reaction and this is one of those times

It is hardly that the players are blameless for the position the team finds itself in the League

Lameries was frozen out by all 3 managers. He is the common denominator not the management.

He has kept it to himself until slade was gone, there are a couple of managers where I work that if they were sacked people would be holding parties. Respect is earned not given, I don't think Slade did much to earn it if stories of him not attending a single under 23s game are true. I would add that I am no great fan of Ruben as a player.

He's not the only player who likes this news, he's just the only one to (probably unprofessionally) 'like' it on social media.

I think we can all relate to working for a manager you don't respect and who for some reason does not like you. Especially in the world of football where the managers decision on selection is so final.

RS didn't have a lot of players buy in and often used the old school hair dryer approach, which was not well received by the players.

It's strange as from what I've read/heard, on the whole, he was liked by players at others clubs.

He was on a remit to avoid relegation and a contract til the end of the season. Given the circumstances, I'd have been pissed off if he was watching U23 games when he could have been working on how to defend a set piece with the first team.

I said he should respect the manager, not that everybody does it.

Just because people outside of football don't respect there manager, it doesn't mean that they shouldn't also.
