I'll take a punt.
It's bullshit.
Until he goes along with his puppeteers the rot continues.

Either Robins has been promised a new direction, or they are pulling the wool over his eyes.
I am plumping for the former.
As loud as caps lock?ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.
The club put in £600k and the extra £500k is funded by the Premier League
The main issue with a Category 3 academy is that clubs can only sign players at the age of 12 I believe. This would give other clubs in our area the chance to poach our local youngsters. I doubt the likes of Maddison, Stevenson, Christie and Wilson would have come through our system if we were Category 3.
Being a Category 2 academy enables us to compete with our local rivals (who are mostly Category 1) for players at the age of 8.
I'm not sure how bad a thing that would be to be honest, obviously if it did give a decent scouting setup like Peterborough's to raid lower league teams or other academies youth players.
Fuck that for a game of soldiers. The academy is one of the few actual links to the City and surrounding areas we have left. And the engine for the best thread on this site.
Why not have both? When we are likely to make £2m+ for about the third season running from academy sales, and we apparently have a great crop coming through why on earth would you risk it all on scouting a bunch of Jodi Joneses?
You don't need a status 2 academy to achieve any of that
I really don't buy the academy argument, simply having a Cat2 academy is no guarantee of any footballers progressing from it into the first team. what it is is a guaranteed commitment to having to spend £600k when we cannot attract or pay a first team to compete at league one.
I think all of the players in your list are not solely products of the CAT 2 system but were with the club before we had cat 2.
no not scrap it, just down grade and do both.Sorry thought he was saying get rid entirely.

Are you saying if we had an extra £600k budget for the first team we wouldn't be where we are?
I have followed CCFC for around 20 years of my life and I'd say for 95% of the years we have been closer to the bottom than the top whatever division we've been in
My other thought is whether a decent scouting system could be used instead of an academy.
ie instead of paying 600k a year to develop our own, we could scout lower leagues like Peterborough do and sell players on that way.

I bet if you actually asked season ticket holders rather than round them up in a pretend stupid 'you lot' gang, they'd overwhelmingly tell you they don't believe a word he says too.ITS bull---- just to sell season tickets, they are getting worried that know one will buy one, so he gives you hope and you lot believe him every year.

Nothing we didn't hear either when SP or TM were appointed or during their tenure so why should we believe it this time?
I think talk of a season ticket boycott next season has TF rattled out of the woodwork.
No ones talking about a season ticket boycott Tony.
You reckon?
A boycott is an official stance not based on natural declining factors. Relegation naturally reduces attendances but sales will still be around the 3,000 mark and attendances at around 5-6,000 minimum.
I can't say I've ever decided to look at what Fisher has said before buying tickets or a shirt or something.
Wife wants something from Sports Direct, had better check what Ashley has said this week.
Thing is Otis, if Robins does manage to transform us on the pitch, and the football and the resultsI guess at the end of the day it all boils down to whether we trust and believe Mark Robins, or whether we think he just wants a job here and will say anything.
Proof will be in the pudding as has been said.
Let's see if players are brought in swiftly this summer and that they seem like quality decisions.
That would show good faith and be a start.
It's the same as not giving much of a shit any more and losing interest is apparently all part of the NOPM movement.A boycott is an official stance not based on natural declining factors. If we are doing well I would expect it be around 8,000, though it has to be factored in that there will probably be some very low away followings up here at the Ricoh.A boycott is an official stance not based on natural declining factors. Unfortunately of all the things he says, this is the one I do believe.Since Timmy is blatantly a lying shithouse, this means a takeover is underway, but SISU are trying to bully the buyers for more money.
