Burge (16 Viewers)

Has anybody ever seen a goalie kick it out so many times? Other keepers seem to have maybe 1 a game and get a cheer but it's consistent every week.

I can understand under pressure with a player running at you, but goal kicks and easy kicks.

It's his job, he does this all day every day. Grab somebody from Sphinx for example and I am pretty sure they could go and do their day job and still go an put the football on the strikers head most times.

1st game of the season I thought the Swindon keeper was awful at kicking but Burge has taken it to a completely whole new dimension!
The first goal was horrible too. I've seen pass backs with more power than that shot

He bottled organising the defending at the free kick as well. It was his responsibility to set up a wall and organise the positioning of the players around him. It's a basic of a goalkeeper to command everything that happens in the 18 yard box. That's his zone and he failed his responsibility.

I wish he would jack in the game...

The direction he took compared to the ball i thought it had taken a deflection, who knows or cares, shocking all around tonight.

I don't understand how he or why he kicks it so far in the air? Who has told him to do that? How can his kicks be so inaccurate?

I know there is a fair bit of Oggy hate on here, but questions do need to be asked re his coaching of Burge.

I feel sorry for him now, he needs to be rested immediately. He's a poor keeper and consistently playing on a losing team and knowing you are one of the poorest players isn't nice for anyone.

Watch him after every goal he concedes, or kick that he slices into touch. Arms up in the air or muttering as if it's actually someone else's fault. He's an utter embarrassment.

The kicking of his studs against the post each and every time he has the ball is also cringeworthingly hilarious. As if it's ever made a jot of difference. How many stayed in play tonight of the 20/30 attempts? 3 maybe 4? And of those 4 how many actually set us off on an attack? 0?

Everything he does is woeful. His all round game is shite and I will be surprised if he is in at MK on Saturday. Why I'm bothering to go and watch them after tonight god only knows.

The free kick did take one, still no wall

Tudgay and Kelly Evans were originally in the wall then Kelly evans went to his right back position and I think the free kick hit tudgay on the way in, after tudgay had fouled once again and conceded the free kick

It looks like he's never been properly taught how to take goal kicks.

He just kicks the ball as high as possible, makes it really easy for defenders to defend as they can pick up the flight of the ball early and have a lot of time to get in position before the ball drops out of the clouds.

That one where he went to play it to one side but it went to the other side.

It's bread and butter stuff, he's a pro footballer... He should be able to kick a ball.

That was totally on purpose, he was doing the ronaldinho trick where you look one way and pass it the other.

Have to agree-one of the worst-if not the worst I have seen.

Ive never hated any CCFC player but have often seen how shit and lazy some are. The problem lies with the managers, the coaches ( yes Oggy too) and the owners. To continually play shit and below average players is a disease at our club that has taken a foothold. We are rock bottom and couldnt win an argument with this team. Start now, play who you wish to keep and tell the likes of Tudgay etc to step back and move on. Time after time we have been out played, bullied and out worked by many teams we would of laughed at 10 years ago and these teams have grafters not 3 ft tall players who arent up to the fight.
Bobby Gould went out with about £300k and bought players in from lower leagues who grasped the chance to play and were experienced in lower league situations and battles. We for some reason rely on pretty tip tappy players either from the academy or professionals on their way down the football ladder. Nasty in your face bastids is whats needed and get them to stick to a formation not change it every week so they havent a clue what to do from week to week. Get them well drilled and they will know their position on corners and free kicks, know when to play the ball and know when to keep it. (Like 99% of the teams who have played us this season). Oh and get a keeper who comes off his line and can kick a ball to a skyblue shirt would also be of help!

I'd rather live with all my ex girlfriends than see him play for us again.

I'd rather live with you. Luckily I'm out until August so I hope I've seen the last of him.

He reminds me of a keeper that's only played 6 a side all his life. Soon as he gets on the big pitch he can't kick the ball, his angles are all off and can't manage a ball over head height.
