You've heard of those wonderful strikers who have the knack of being in the right place at the right time.
Well, the current crop of England strikers all have the knack of being in the wrong place at the right time.

Is Kane not top Prem scorer atm? Defoe is not far off??

Wonderful goal by Podolski. Never understood why Arsenal got rid. Least that embarrassment Vardy has gone off, should have brought Defoe on though.

Yeah, vardy was poor. Don't blame him for bringing rashford on though.

Redmond
Ward-Prowse
Shaw

What is the point of these players?

I like Southgate, but bringing these on in the second half when 1-0 down was something out of Slade's book.

None of them should be anywhere near the squad. Shaw looks overweight and the other two are crap.

I can't say I'm very impressed by any of England's rising young talents. None of them are anywhere near as good as what we have lost in players like Lampard, Gerrard, Defoe, Shearer, Owen etc. etc. and if we couldn't win anything with them, we won't win anything with the likes of Kane, Rashford, Vardy, and Alli. I quite like Lallana but that's about it.

I'm not sure what point you are trying to make, but when you talk about England and goal-scoring, you need to pay attention to the goals they did not score, not the goals they did score.
Just like in the game we all just watched. Pathetic finishing!

Class goal to win it. Too wasteful up top. Once Vardy and Lallana went off it was game over. Should've had it won before that though. Atmosphere was superb. Shame it was in Dortmund. Can think of far better places. 60k's a good crowd for Germany and it was never going to sell out. Düsseldorf would've been a better idea.

Let's be honest, if Stuart Linnell and Clive Eakin are paid to commentate, I'm sure sooty and sweep could do it.

I'm assuming you went to the match, CJ?
Anyhow, only saw the highlights and from what I could tell, he was playing a back 3?

Are you working in Belgium? I spent 2 years in Brussels 2000-2 and loved it

I have in the past for an hour here or there. Popular place to meet in my line of work. That flag is Alex and Roger Smith's. Mine was up too though.

For me
1. First half looked like an England giving their all trying to impress...good to see! But against a Germany in 3rd gear
2. 2nd half a Germany in 4th gear, against an England that started to struggle a bit
3. A fantastic shot (right over Hart's 'Head&Shoulders')

...onwards & upwards PUSB

Some fans have let us down big time. Anyone that boos or disrespects a national anthem in any way is a disgrace. No matter what country we are playing I've always stood silently as the majority would do at any sporting event. Add in the needless throwing of bottles of beer, soft drinks and fluid that was once those two things before it went through a certain process is something that is become more prevalent. I can excuse it when we score as the outpouring of emotion means plastic pots and bottles may leave the grasp of the fan but when it's happening at random times like when the ball goes out of play or after full time it's inexcusable.

One of the issues on Wednesday was the amount of none members with tickets. We pay our money to the FA and they police check and in some cases character reference us. Those with a membership know that if they step one foot out of line they lose it. If you don't have a membership there's very little the FA can do to prevent you from traveling and causing problems unless a banning order has been issued (if one has been, the offering party is stupid for even thinking they can get away with it). On Wednesday the block to our right was full of English and no stewards meaning they could enter and leave the away end as they pleased. I witnessed straight arm salutes, bottle throwing towards both English and German fans and other such unacceptable behaviour. Not all the membership are angels but the majority of those problems came from those that originated in that area.

Large allocations in relatively easy to reach places are great but they entice idiots to turn up and give the majority a bad name. Scotland at Hampden is going to be special day whereas Paris is likely to be a repeat of the game in Dublin a couple of years ago and Malta is probably going to be a boring game that a large group of arseholes can turn up to and do what they did on Wednesday. Personally I can't wait for Lithuania in October!

I first noticed a change back in Turin a couple of years ago. There were a lot of 16, 17 and 18 year olds that hadn't been away from mum and dad alone before getting absolutely rat arsed, starting fights with each other and trying to make a nuisance of themselves to the longstanding England faithful & locals. This isn't acceptable anywhere but if there was a list ranking the places not to behave in this way understandably and fairly obviously Turin would be in the top 3. To give some of them credit a few that I had a row with then (they were chanting how great Notts County were and punched a Forest fan right next to the Carabinieri) have become decent enough lads the more experience they've got of whats acceptable both on away trips and when visiting someone else's country. Shame others haven't followed suit.

Australia Away?

I get it now I've seen on here. On my phone it's the right way up. How weird. Any ideas why?
