Has Venus gone? Is fisher still there? It's like a cliffhanger episode of Dallas.

Anyone know?

Does this not kill all the conjecture that he was here to build houses? Does it not prove the reason he became a director was to have a better understanding of how it works? Ranty sisu out people blinded by hatred abusing a man for no reason other than the company he works for. Yes recruitment was shit and he deserves the blame for it. How many painted him as the devil though because he had a property investment company.

To give MV his due he found a lot of senior players who were willing to join us but almost all those deals fell through once the contract negotiations started and the players or their agents heard what was being offered
Especially as a significant portion depended on appearances
Apparently win bonuses are also only payable if we got promoted which isn't the case at many other clubs
I'm sure some fans will say that's the way it should be but unfortunately all those players who TM talked about in the summer ended up joining other clubs at our level on far better deals

We are now seeing the outcome

Whatever you think of MV and he wasn't his best advocate he and TM had no chance

That's why TM walked and said he didn't want a payoff - he said they should spend it on the team

Apparently you can't run a football club the way SISU want the club to be run.

Sorry if this messes up the SISU and CCFC are separate entities line of thought that some favour.

No it doesn't, it's a simple concept and easy for most to grasp, I think the word run is key.
E.g the last gaffer of my local run it into the ground, the new gaffers sound and it's a good boozer again.

That means we get to wake up and find the last decade had just been a dream and Marcus Hall is still in at leftback. I'm in!

Knowing our luck we will just find Orange Ken in the shower.

He staysd in manager job too long. He should have quit i guess. Will still go down as a better cov manager than slade mind you!

That is some league table you have there CC4life, Venus or Slade? Be careful, both had wins this season, guess who didn't?

We sailed upon the good ship Venus
By Christ he was a penis
Buggered up the squad with that Tony bod
And since the slide's been heinous
Or, you could end it with:
And since the Slade's been heinous

No.
Bit strange that assumption was made from a few tweets.
I'd wager CJ was referring to the Academy or Slade.

My tweet was regarding all 3.

Totally unsurprising. There's obviously been a lot gone on behind the scenes, but he's been a dead man walking for a while. He was surplus to requirements. Even with absent Tim as the only other director, there was simply nothing for him to do.

Sorry it didn't work out Mark - wherever the blame lies, good luck for the future and thanks for your efforts. It didn't work out but you're clearly not a bastard so all the best.

The guy was used by the owners. He had a decent number of players who were keen to come to the club didn't necessarily expect the top offer possible. But when they or their agent saw what was actually on offer who could blame them if they went elsewhere
Fisher boasted on release of the recent accounts how a change in the bonus system had resulted in an improvement in financial performance
Well yes but there was an inevitable correlation in the on field results
All we had were a couple of guys at the end of their career, a few honest pros who can't get a better offer elsewhere and a big group of talented kids who need to learn the game
It's that group who got us to Wembley
Venus will be alright in the long run but I suspect he would do things differently if he knew what he was letting himself in for

I think this is a step forward but anyone thinking it's all slade or now Venus' fault is sadly mistaken. The problems in the club run much deeper than two honest decent football pros. Sure they have tried their best but ultimately left failing.

Hopefully fisher can go next.

Good riddance, apparently he threw a strop because robins was appointed without him having his say, well thank fuck for that i have to say. I bet robins saw through this charlatan the moment he stepped through the door.

What was it robins said when he joined, there was no infrastructure/scouting in place. Well what the fuck has Venus been doing for the last 20 months then? Stealing a wage it seems.

He will be ok because he will probably join Blackburn now and sponge off them for a bit.

He wasn't used by the owners, he was simply found out as not up to the job. He wasn't a novice been doing a similar job for Tony Mowbray for years and with his so called expertise getting players to be good enough for division one shouldn't be that difficult. Okay he may have missed some players due to finance and wage demands as will other clubs but what about the loans he brought in who were a waste of space I give credit for Armstrong, Murphy and Kent but what about Ramage, Hunt, Henderson and the tripe brought in this season on loan are any of this seasons loans any good ? Perhaps Callum Reilly, at least he's a tryer, No for me goodbye and good riddance perhaps see him on Homes under the Hammer soon !

Venus biggest problem..... trying 2 jobs which he's never done before and been poor at both of them! His little Cov experiment has cost us our league one status, although he sort of got us to Wembley.... he wont be missed at all, but he looks stupid to have over looked Robins between October and March when he was available.... Have a go at Fisher all you want and its all fair to be honest, but he knew what he was getting with Robins and was right to go over Venus head to get it sorted! Mark go and join your mate at Blackburn im sure you have been itching to get up there......

No as a director of the Club he only found out about Slades sacking from Tim's best mate, whatever you think of him that is not right.

Because I was told last week when I started this thread.
Funny how people don't give a shit that as a director he was kept in the dark.
Sorry didn't like him myself but is this not strange.
He was also the one doing the Finham Park academy switch, who is going to take over now funny how all our directors leave the to how the club is run.

My view is when you take a look into the transfers did he actually do well. I say no, failed every way with some of that down to the pay structure but that's no excuse. You should go and shop to your relative budget. Not aim high and then be surprised when said targets go championship clubs.
There were league one players out there asking a reasonable wage we'd been able to compete with to make this years squad competitive weekly. It was his job to identify players with the manager the suited out budget.
Sure we got AA and Murphy last season, then Cargil and Stephens but how much of that was down to Jamie Clapham and his England youth connections he had. The only players you could credit Venus with is vincelot and possibly Sam Ricketts that summer.
I don't even blame him solely for the Henderson, Hunt, and Ramage signings. That's a joint effort between him and TM. All them players were looked at on the training ground before short term deals offered.
Jordan Turnbull is a prime example of a failed recruitment legacy

Acted like a spoilt brat over Robins appointment, good riddance, his yearly salary will be put to better use elsewhere

The likelihood is, that Finham deal is now dead.
