The last thing we want is any belief this squad is anything

Bristol rovers certainly seemed to have there fair share of more mongrels than other clubs, reminded me of port vale fans tbh.

Bristol Rovers are my local team and they do have a fairly twatish contingent. They think they are a huge team despite never being higher than league 1 and a few seem to think playing Mansfield should be like green street. Went to a few games with a colleague and I stopped because their fans were doing my head in.

Correction: They were promoted to the old Division 2 in 1974, where they spent two or three seasons (even played Man U when they got relegated). I supported them as a young lad back then, before rediscovering football when I came to Cov in 1982, and have been loyal Sky Blue ever since.

As I walked back to the car I fell into a chat with some of the rovers fans. They seemed a very nice group; knowledgable of the game and understanding of our plight. They were disappointed by their teams performance (especially) second half but were friendly and polite and certainly not a bad crowd.
