By a country mile. Discuss.....
Lol are you his agent? Robins admitted the one area we lost the battle was the midfield.

Stokes was MOM, Turnbull was a fairly close second and all the back line were better than him as was Thomas and Reid

Stoke or Reid, although Bigi did have a decent game as did all.

Turnball was really good as well. He made some really critical challenges

I think its fair to say they all played well. The organisation and staying true to it was clear for all to see. Biggi was very good, everywhere and Riedplayed the game he needed to and never stopped. The back 4 were impressive and dealt with everything thrown at them. Turnball in particular.

Agree back four were impressive but thought they still played too narrow. It seemed we were happy to let their wife men have it.

Robins plays a back four to defend - not meander up field lose possession and concede - its the one area of real improvement since he took over

Bigi is a shout, managed the game in midfield. We didn't win the midfield battle- but with a 1-0 lead we didn't need to. Stokes' organisation was excellent at the back as was Turnbull. Willis put in a shift before his injury. Reid had a fantastic game out wide. Thomas had a good game- provided one of the only moments of real quality with the goal. Burge immense in goal. Can't think of anyone who had a bad game today.

Not right to give a MOTM today. The whole team needs to be congratulated for their efforts.

And today when they did fuck up Burge was up for the moon.
Even their goal he nearly kept it out even through it went through 2 sets of legs and he couldn't have seen it till the last minute.
But let's all pretend it was an easy shot that any other Goalie would have saved.:)

Every dog has his day - would you want him to renew a contract?

It's funny how opinions on the match can differ so much, but no harm in that.

If I rated the back 4, stokes would have been 4th on my list. Played well, but the others played better.

Reid was tireless end to to end and the one that worried Oxford. Thomas worked hard and what a goal. Haynes was good and a threatening supply. Turnbull very committed.

Bigi got stuck in, made some good passes, scored and cleared off the line what wasn't there to like (Grendel).

The rest were good, no one had a bad game or looked vulnerable. We kept our shape well.

So many positives today including Haynes showing more understanding of his position and desire to stick his foot in, generally defending better . Reid looks like he has been told to relax and plays with more freedom, which makes him decent at this level. Thomas little work horse showed lovely touched for his goal and the decision to make the right run is a player learning his trade. Stokes we have really missed him, good leader dies simple things really well.and just defends when he needs to no frills but effective. DKE heart bigger than a Rhino and balls as big as an elephant, loves his desire, great lad, could do really well in the game. Bigi, my mom, never stopped working, broke lots up and 2 keys in winning the game his goal which put them on the back foot and his clearance off the line in last minute. He also gave a passionate interview after the game which shows he is a thoughtful lad who cares.

As for loosing the midfield we did at times but in games you will and against a team full of confidence it was bound to happen. But games are not won on possession anymore, its what you do with it, not how long you have it and we played better without the ball then they did and took our chances. We set up today to play without the ball and Robins played a blinder in getting the players to buy into it.

Only negative today is all mentioned for the reasons mentioned could be gone in the summer including Robins if things are not sorted off the field.

Bigi.

Now fuck off you absolute oxygen thief.
Bit of an OTT reply isn't it?

Bigi did alright but gave away a few simple passes and I thought he was going to get sent off at one point. He did play a quality ball through to Thomas at one point though which on another day could've resulted in a goal. Thomas was MOM for me though.

Why any so called City fan wants to come on here and critise players (Bigi, Burge etc) today amazes me. The whole team and management were immense.
Bigi played his best game in months, Burge was trouble free, Turnball solid
The whole day was brilliant from start to finish
Enjoy the result and give it a break for 48 hours and then return to your nasty little "critical, complaining at everything" world.

Thomas was a worthy MOTM but Bigi was a close second for me. He was everywhere, and he took his goal so well.

Burge & the back 4 all played well. Reid played well, although he looks like he should be faster than he actually is, which is frustrating. No-one had a particularly bad game.

I know he is hated on here but I don't mind him .
Not his or RCC fault our defence has been so poor this season.
Would put most Gp under pressure IMHO

For for me it was probably Reid
1st half: Bigi and Reid were our best players.
Bigi a confident with the ball and put in some good defensive work. Reid was our best attacking threat by some way.

2nd half: Thomas came into the game more, as he pushed further forward he was much more of a threat.
I would like to see him play a second striker role

Bigi was in the right place at the right time to take his goal brilliantly after the (albeit lucky) rebound, which calmed the nerves a bit! He had a couple of key interceptions, and stopped it on or close to the line a number of times (including that last minute melee, where we were all just holding our breath waiting for the cheer from the Oxford fans). Played a few under-powered passes which were picked off, and was lucky not to get a second yellow for that challenge on the tunnel side. AND SOMEONE GET HIM SOME LONGER STUDS, FFS!!!!

I agree that everyone was immense. Haynes and Reid had a good partnership. Haynes looked like a proper left back. Reid looked a bit slow, and can't accelerate, but showed great strength and ran himself into the ground.

One player I've not seen mentioned was Beavon. Not seen him that much, but he didn't do it for me yesterday.

But these are all nit-picks. WE FOOKIN WON!!!!
