I really hope he's here for a good two or more seasons to build a squad and take us forward.

First time around, I thought from his first interview he was the man. I was devastated when he left, but I was happy when he came back.

If yesterday isn't a spring board for the club, then nothing will be.

If nothing else, thank you Mark Robins and the team, for the best day in my life!

Just hope he is given the support he needs. Unfortunately I think Fisher will make more cuts to the squad budget while doing nothing to sell the club to sponsors and fans.

I'm officially over the whole sky blue blood thing now, it's all looking forward instead of back
YES lets look forward, our club needs supporting !! we cannot do much about the ownership of our club so forget all the NOPM bollocks get your arses up there next saturday and lets lift the roof off the Ricoh and support the players, in the last few matches they are responding to our support so lets show them what it is really like come on all you alleged plastic supporters ...you got the bug back yesterday now lets do it again on Saturday :)

He is a very good manager at this level bit relegation and lack of budget visibility in the summer could be a huge issue.

He will be tied as well by bigger earners still at the club unless he can shift them

He has out of contract players he'd probably want to keep and contracted players he will need to move on.

Why we turned down fees for some players in January is a real mystery.

If only we'd got him earlier and avoided the whole Slade debacle. Hindsight is wonderful, of course, as I was convinced Slade was the man to keep us up.

Is there a list knocking around of who from our squad is out of contract in the summer?

i would guess that the revenue from this competition was more than we would have collected from those sales
for once a good decision

If he get's us up next season, it won't matter.

If the club play their cards right, winning yesterday is a catalyst for the club to get to the Championship again.

It's about £600,000 in reality after costs

I'm really enthusiast about next season, even be it in div 4. If we can keep our key players and improve on a few positions im sure we'l be in for a good season. All we need is a decent kit that makes us look physically challenging and a ground that will harness the atmosphere the city crowd can create. Not much to ask really.

Well of course there will be cuts to help budget in a league below. Is that really ammo? Hmmm

Yeah top manager! Need to sort us out let's hope he gets the backing !!

Need to sort contracts out asap.. Thomas, Haynes, bigi etc all need securing
Just Thomas for me out of that lot. Lets not forget that this team is why we are bottom and most still need to be booted out of the door in the summer.

That's a one off game though lets not forget. I think all would agree that Oxford were the better team and have been consistent all season. We took our chances in the day and they didn't which ultimately cost them.

we have won 3 in a row now though. vs one team in relegation 6 pointer and another going for playoffs and the 3rd in a cup final.

no one is saying this squad is amazing but it is not so bad it should be bottom. robins is proving this. slade took us from 1pt from safety to 17pts off

Actually I think we marshalled them really well when we weren't actually going forward...

He did indeed! Not sure we were the best but some how he did make us worse!

Oxford were not the best side. It was an even game. We defended better than them and attacked better than them. They had the best of the midfield but struggled to break our defence down. Not bad considering they scored 5 a few days before.

RS was the wrong man at the wrong time... trying to impose a long-ball/direct strategy on players that couldn't play to that style effectively...

You can only work with the tools you're given.

Nah, don't agree. Considering the hype and the favourites tag they were given before the game I think we snuffed out their threat quite easily.

They had loads of possession in the first half but didn't do anything with it. Our defence deserves huge praise and I was particularly impressed with Jordan Turnbull. Stokes too for lasting the whole game on that big pitch.

I thought Bigi was excellent with only really Stevenson being a bit anonymous.

Honourable mention for Kyel Reid too who relieved the pressure on the defence a few times when taking the ball up the pitch.

Everyone from Sky to Appleton underestimated us and it backfired. A dogged, determined performance just when we needed it.

Fans should be proud of every one of those players.

I watched some of the match back since, and the only player I can't be proud of is RCC. Close up of him with his hands down his shorts fondling his "trophy"....should only have been shown after the watershed..
