I've heard a former employee at senior level put three potential suitors in touch with Sepallla on the basis of talks around £10M, only to be scared off by a hike of a further £10M once contact had been initiated.
I'm also still of the opinion Anderson was trying to broker something other than rent deals.
Intriguing If Hoffman now acts as the middle man.

I posted on another thread that they'd pull that stunt if they got an offer, they've done it 3 times! Do they never learn?

I wondered if this would have any bearing on how this plays out. Success in the rest of their portfolio helping them to crsytalise losses elsewhere. Can it work like that?

Years ago I did a bit of digging around what else is in their portfolio, one was in a Chinese pharma company, others were in steel. All over the world in all sorts of industries. If CCFC were their only business interest I suspect they would have cut it loose by now. For now though it might be serving a purpose to help with their other interests.

How would CCFC serve a purpose with other interests?
Found it very hard to find out any information on the SISU protfolio or investors.
Did you investigate their previous investments as well?

They listen to what you say and turn this into PowerPoint slides that tell you what you said, only in a way that allows you to pass this off to your director as meaningful work and progress.

Your director will similarly employ management consultants to bundle up all his reports to his CEO, whilst your CEO will have whole swathes of consultants working on communications to the members of the board or to the government minister/permanent secretary. Much of your tax money goes on this shite - the figures are quite eye-watering.

This is a very cynical view of the work of consultancies.
As you state, most companies employ them and some are better than others, McKinsey and Boston Consulting Group being top examples, Accenture, KPMG and PWC being highly rated as well. If they did not add significant value then they would not be used, even if its just to validate a decision which the director or CEO may have already preferred.
If KPMG were involved when SISU bought CCFC then they should have flagged up the high rent as a cause for concern or did they think it was acceptable?

He is now reluctant to put others forward as it gives him a bad name.
He has already turned one club's fortunes around this season.

Unfortunately Sisu want to the buyer to clear most the debt and there lies the problem.

If Hoffman has been asked by Sisu to find a buyer that is massive news. It's a big if but what we do know is that things can't carry on as they are. We as a club need a new direction and no matter what Fisher says the owners can't keep watching the club fail and have to fund its running.

They have controlled and are to blame for the current situation in regards to what they have overseen. The club is a money pit and as of Saturday will become a very expensive weight and burden. They know it, and it would make sense for them to look to get out.

Let's hope for some truth in this story, we all need it. And anyone following should learn from past mistakes made by the current ownership. Build relationships, connect with local businesses and the local council, inform fans of a plan a target to aim and involve us. Promise nothing but hard work and truth about intentions short mid and long term.

Build a 1st team while carrying on the great work the academy are doing in producing young talent. Work with not fight a council that will gladly help in securing land that will become a club asset not a anchor that rent has to be paid.

This club has massive potential and it can be turned round if we get people with the knowledge to tap into the area. It's waiting for a hero and as long as the new people have a controlled plan like a Southampton, Swansea, Bournemouth or even Burton themail club can be developed and progress. Sometimes you have to let something break before you rebuild it, we maybe this case.

Fact of the matter is alot of these things work in cycles. Look at football in the West Midlands as whole, not much happening apart from West Brom in the Prem.

Look at coastal teams Bournemouth, Southampton, Brighton and so on. All on the rise, reaping the rewards of good ownership and a positive fan base. And not so long ago all three were enduring hardships albeit very different to ours.

Although we have had abysmal luck in the last 20 years, we're not entitled to anything in football. Just ride the storm, and eventually it will come good.

Fellow cov fans have been mentioning of hearing rumours but I can't seem to find the source or even the person who has released the rumours. However I am hearing of similar rumours for about 3 different people, too many people know things for it not to be true

Yeah I do, but I mean I can't find on twitter who has said the rumour. IE, "I have been told by someone related to the club, blah blah, that an american guy and his advisors were seen visiting fishface" If you know what I mean.

I hope so to, thing is with twitter there is a lot of shit on there. However on the odd occasion something is true. News travels to twitter faster than even the actual news on the TV most of the time.

You are a very negative person. However, on this occasion I kind of agree with you that consultancies are useless. You get to see someone at the start who is knowledgeable about your business but once they are in the door they flood you with people who are clueless and are measured by their company by how many more people they can get through the door. Their focus is presentation over content and they looooove spending days and days using Powerpoint.

I wouldn't hire them.
