Season ticket prices 17/18 season (18 Viewers)

My view is the season tickets for this season were boosted by the implication of support, by club for Mowbray, to have a genuine attempt at playoff/promotion. When we got to see the results of the false hope the season ticket holders felt cheated, rightly so. You could see almost immediately the team was pants compared to previous season. So,
the same promise has been made but we are starting from a lower base. Can we believe Sisu/Fisher? The MM cup final feel good factor has been smashed open to reveal Sisu/Fisher for what they are, bullshitting idiots. I don't blame the newly ripped off season ticket holders for walking away. I don't blame any City fan for buying a season ticket to support club, you makes your own choice. But remember while Sisu/Fisher remain the club is going to die. They don't give a shit and this season ticket shit is another nail in the coffin. I despair. Already my expectation of Coventry City has dropped to new lows. I feel very sorry for the Coventry kids, the future supporters, they will never see a return to top flight football while these idiots have a strangle hold on our club. The party we will all have when they go away and die. Soon I hope.

Their moment in the sun 2 weeks ago was what I have been waiting for in 25 years supporting the club.

By comparison, they are lucky !

I was saying that to my son, who is Sky Blue mad and will cheer on the team no matter the league or result. I said to him that he is lucky he got to see Coventry City at Wembley and he is only 10. I was 21 when I went there for the Cup Final/Charity Shield. In comparison my Dad is 76 when he went to the Checkatrade. I told him to enjoy the moment as he may never go again.

Just been looking at a few local prices ,
£9 Bedworth per game
£14 nuneaton per game
£16 nuneaton if you want a seat ,
Me and my lad £345 at cov block 21.
Yeah it's been a terrible season but we won't sell many more if they lowered the prices to £249 ..
I'll be getting ours this weekend ..

Nuneaton Town season ticket for season just ending £230 (adult seated) works out to under £11 a game. They play 21 home games as opposed to our 23.

What I meant by that is I got to watch the best players in the country play the City in the best league in the world. Today's kids are watching 4 tier football with little hope of any better than a 3/4 tier cup. That's sad.

CCFC Finance Director

but there is more to the maths than the superficial calculations that the guy has done.

Much of the commercial income is due from fans too (shop, lottery etc) so why exclude that. The interest figure is skewed by the withholding tax that must relate to all of the years of interest rolled up for ARVO not just one year - the rate is 20% I believe - if the interest never paid then neither will the tax be. The interest hasn't been paid over and could be waived in its entirety by the shareholders if they saw fit which would add a large positive to the P&L acc in the year it happened

Also it is the SBS&L group that has 37m borrowings plus interest accrued owing. Otium which is actually CCFC only owes a smaller sum of 12m as borrowings made up of £8m capital and £4m accrued interest

But yes the situation is bad, and the club needed to take the positives of Wembley and draw the fans in to parting with money ................. they failed again

That's assuming the £1M is actually used to improve the squad and not get swallowed up into the great piss pot that is SISU.

Of course, and £1m is an arbitrary figure I plucked out the air. Even so this is one of those cases where a little (by their standards) money will go a long way and would be paid back with interest.

My son doesn't find it "sad" as he knows no different. He lives and breathes Coventry City, which is the most important thing for me. And he won't be the only one. It'll be the adults who are sad about our situation. The kids just get on with it and I admire them for that.

To be honest has an over 60 £230 is a bargain, JSB's are £25, so there tickets are not really free, but still good value for my grand kids. However it the quality of the product that part of the problem. This season is the first time I just did not bother going to some matches, despite having a season ticket. Some of the performances where truly shocking, I'd had enough. Then we have our wonderful owners, I am not sure they are really bothered, they have broken all ties with the vast majority of the fan base, making us feel punch drunk. They keep beating us till we had enough and gave up. When will the fire sale start for a best talent so we can 'break even' I will probably get a ticket more for personal reasons coming to Cov to my parents grave than anything to do with the football, or lack of. I am sure other will have reasons, dads and lad, mates meeting up etc, but less to do with the football more a get together. The whole situation is very sad, not sure I can see a way out of it whilst the owners remain.

A lunch box, sheet of vouchers, usb stick, wrist band and free season ticket.

Said earlier up the adults should get that sheet of tickets too, family vouchers, bring a friend etc

Club should give you a seat in the press box!

I should try and blag a press pass. If they give them out to journo's of an organisation who despise of the club, surely they can give little old me one knowing I wont just report on everything shite about the club (then again, I'd be reporting on our games, most of which are shite, but at least I'll be reporting facts as and when they actually happen :D)

Even for those intending to purchase ST's I would strongly advise that they don't jump in and lump the money in up front in May and start hoping once again that the manager is given the chance to build a team before all the best bargains have signed for other clubs. This will be just the same as the last 4 years, lies and spin and then a shoestring budget handed out when it's too late, a few more academy kids promoted and by about October if it's going tits up, Robins will be the new fall guy and all the morons on here will be blaming the latest manager................whilst SISU have dragged out another 6 months and grabbed everyone's money again !

Coventry City Chairman Tim Fisher would like to address the concerns of the fans following Season Ticket launch...

Firstly, I’m very pleased to welcome Tommy Widdrington to Coventry City this week, to head up our player recruitment programme.

The manager and I feel this appointment is the cornerstone of the football department; Tommy is tasked with finding and securing the right playing talent for the football club going forward.

The club also announced details and prices for next year’s Season Tickets yesterday. Understandably, this has been met with some concerns from fans.

We are unlike most other football clubs, in that we do not benefit from non-ticketing revenue. The club does not get either matchday non-ticketing revenues or non-matchday revenues. We are therefore pushed to generate most income via ticketing means, and this puts pressure on the current Season Ticket pricing structure.

As a club, we are fully aware that other League One clubs have ongoing ticket promotions and offers. Unfortunately, Coventry City FC are not in a position to replicate these, despite wanting to reward our loyal supporters.

Our Season Ticket prices are still in keeping with most clubs in League One and Two and we are especially pleased to be able to continue to offer JSB’s U13 a FREE Season Ticket - and hope this helps with the cost of a family visit to the Ricoh Arena.

The club also wanted to reward its returning early bird Season Ticket holders, and new purchasers, with a FREE ticket to the club’s first cup game of the upcoming season. Hopefully we can replicate the fantastic cup success of this season!

We’re also absorbing the £6.00 processing charge in the early bird period.

The manager wrote about togetherness and unity in his address, and I’d like to echo the same sentiment. Whilst the club simply aren’t able to underwrite any reduction in ticket prices, we are supporting Mark Robins with as much financial backing as is feasibly possible.

All available spend will be allocated to the team. We want to enjoy a successful year on the pitch in 2017/18 and we need the fanbase, where possible, to support the manager during this rebuilding process

Can't really argue with that, pretty much sums it up.

Still think a token 10% reduction would have been the sensible option and would have been a small gesture to the fans.
