The election is obviously opportunistic. I've woken up and I'm back in 1983 all over again.
A female PM who appears apparantly to be unpopular with the working classes who will end up actually getting a higher percentage of working class voters than the hapless opposition.
I admire May for doing it. She seems an ultra cautious timid politician but in the end when the opponent is staggering on the ropes with every part of its body broken you may as well deliver a killer blow.
The Labour Party in all but name has ceased to exist. It's become a chatter group for outdated Marxists such as Len McCluskey and sixth form "activists" who haven't a clue what their socialist beliefs are and are governed and enslaved by capitalist media devices.
What a sad and sorry mess labour is. The hapless Corbyn looks bemused by the whole thing. Alongside him a sinister terrorist loving dinasaur is no doubt the "leader" in waiting. Then their is his camper van soulmate who probably wants to take him on another European Tour.
The Lib Dems are without principal and like Italia would climb into bed with anyone who offered to park a ministerial post there.
If labour had one ounce of common sense they'd accept defeat internally and target Scotland only on this election as without Scotland they never will win. They won't though. They will blunder into oblivion and The Terrorist thug McDonnell will take the crown.
The Tory monopoly on British politics starts in June.

Is Coventry S going Tory? A 4% swing will see it go and UKIP polled 13%, that will be down to 5% or so.

Labours only chance of winning is hiding Corbyn in a bunker and hoping for some kind of Designated Survivor scenario. We're fucked. At least Corbs will be gone sooner rather than later. May must be really pissed off with her MPs to waste him so early.

You wish. This helps as he'll be challenged before the conference for sure and hopefully enough of the trots and ideologues will have fucked off or woken up to vote for someone else. The left have been shit at organising in the party, they won't get the McDonnell amendment through conference any time soon and Corbyn won't survive a challenge after a GE loss, he was at 50/50 not so long ago with the membership. Labour will be in the low 100s, Tories will have a ridiculous majority for 5 years, but we can start rebuilding. Watch out 2027.

I guess at least there is a grain of truth somewhere in what you have written, whereas he was just completely lying. I believe you know what you write is disingenuous - gone through the socialist fact filter and come out the other end as something entirely misleading that people that don't know what has actually happened may believe. For me, the deciding factor will be which leader can produce the loudest, stinkiest farts live on TV. I mean, May looks like she has some absolute belters up her sleeve, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Corbyn or Farron give it a good go, potentially might even see a shart!

Good god really? PM too scared for live public speaking on TV but capable of handling PMQ's every week from a far more informed audience and meeting regularly with heads of state from around the globe? You may not like her, but she'll make small work of Corbyn on a live debate.

Her performances at PMQ's haven't been great to say the least. Find it interesting watching PMQs live and following social media then watching how the narrative gets changed by the media so by the time you hit the 6 o'clock news and mass consumption of the days events you often get a very selective version of events.
Question is if Corbyn is as terrible as we are led to believe why wouldn't she want a debate with him?

I have my view on the selective audience but all the lefties I know argue they're loaded the other way, so perhaps that is about perspective. What is certain though is that they are either loaded questions given in advance so the speech writers (in all parties) can give the media a couple of sound-bites, sometimes with humour, to take away and print. They will direct answers toward the one with the question, usually from a socially deprived background so they look caring and keep referring to the name in answer to unrelated questions as if they were besties. All fairly pointless though, particularly as they insist on representation from all sides and waste airspace on Plaid Cymru, SNP, Green and UKIP etc. It should be main parties only (I'd still include LD in that).

The moderate / 'progress' side of the Labour party aren't popular either, they lost the last 2 General Elections, in 2015 managing to do so despite 5 years of coalition austerity. Despite an economic boom, they lost huge amounts of votes between 1997 and 2005 and only stayed in government due to how dismal the Tories were.
Labour are just too obsessed with issues affecting minority groups, they never campaign on the basis of how they would make life better for the majority, it's always about the poor / disabled / minorities (not that these are not valid issues). I have no intention of voting Tory but will not be voting for my local Labour MP, a spoiled ballot paper is probably what I will do.

Perhaps a little unfair, but equally if you think that you cant trust Labour with the economy, believe that the NHS they hold so close has never been handed back in a better state than when they received it, that immigration particularly from Europe needs controlling or that only minority groups are prioritised under Labour rule, then you are labelled a racist, Nazi loving, right wing facist!
People love to label and put everything in neat little boxes. I guess it's easier than debating or trying to see both sides of the argument.

All political parties have their own problems.
With the Conservatives you enjoy the liberty part of Democracy but they're are not that concerned with the equality part, especially when it comes to do with wealth.
Labour is wholy inadequate when it comes to liberty. DNA database and many other Human Rights disasters they had when in power. It is now against the law to do some of the stuff they did when in power.
And the Lib Dems being anything but liberal and democratic.
All three had the chance of changing the country for the better when in power but were more interested in their own self interest of staying in power rather then changing the country for the better.
We do deserve better then the crap that is served up at the moment.
