Agree, I'm completely sick of Gilbert's petty pointscoring on twitter. He has shot fans down for weeks, calling any rumours of a takeover 'bollocks' and saying his sources had said nothing's going on.

To stir it up, he then published a pathetic article suggesting a bunch of Australians led by Mark Schwarzer, might be putting in a bid. Then yesterday, he said he was delighted to 'finally be able to reveal' that Hoffman and co had put in an offer for the club.

I like Gilbert as a person, but as a journalist I think He knows nothing and acts cocky when wrong. He's a poor mans Gulleame Buileage, or whoever that tosspot is on Sky that covers Spanish football and always gets stories farcically wrong

Because we are, after all, on a fans forum chatting shit! Not in an official post spouting shit as fact! What we write on here is a matter of opinion, which is then translated as fact by a "journalist' who then gets very defensive/passive aggressive on social media when outed as a fraud!
From the outside world point of view we have a mickey mouse club, make to look even more so by the likes of Giblet and Reid!

The trouble with Reid is that he has allowed his bitter dispute with the Coventry Telegraph to become so personal that it has clouded his judgement. At times he comes across as hysterical in his reaction,and it just seems too personal for him. As others have said he just keeps repeating the same soundbites over and over again,as if that somehow makes them true.
What was actually said between the various parties at different times, a lot we can only guess, depends often on people's prejudices. But what we know for certain is what Fisher has repeatedly told us the fans over years, about buying land, moving to a new site. According to Fisher this should have been our first full season at our promised new stadium. So it is beyond doubt that Fisher has been economical with the truth for years to us the supporters, and yet Reid seems to treat this as a minor oversight.
He has never presented any credible case, for a move to the Butts. Who would finance it, who would own it, why would CRFC get involved with an organisation who are utterly toxic. Why would they benefit from playing even in a 12000 stadium when they get gates of just over 1000.

Being one of the posh twats from rural Warwickshire (I'm not actually posh) I don't have quite the same understanding as the situation as everyone else does. Anything that Gilbert says/does pisses me off (says more about me than him), so I refuse to follow him on Twitter & take everything he says with a bucket of salt. To sound a bit amateur, can anyone provide me with a fair assessment of Les Reid as I know very little of him & the Cov Observer?
