if i was cynical, its simply a ploy to make us part with our cash on st's. Only when i hear that fisher has gone will i even think about renewing.
Why has it taken the club this long to even publicly acknowledge the wembley win and the fans?

Have the season ticket sales been that bad so far, it's resulted in a half hearted apology from a unknown source other than "the owner/owners"

Owners take you pick of some, all or none

- TF (tries act like one so included)
- JS
- D Coleman
- SISU
- ARVO
- ARVO investors
- SBS&L
- L Brody
- Sconset
- 5 private equity funds
- the SISU Capital Private Equity Fund
- some faceless investors linked to the Cayman Isles
- SISU investors
- A N Other

apparently none of them want to actually claim responsibility, they prefer to be unsigned and anonymous :banghead::facepalm:

If they all bought a season ticket the ground would be full

Rushed out in a weak attempt to appease the fans and make us all think they're not so bad after all amid all of the takeover talk? Must have been rushed out, they didn't even have time to spellcheck it. And, as has already been mentioned, the fact it hasn't been signed despite using 'I was...' is just odd/amateurish.

Fisher was at Wembley where as Sepalla wasn't. Not sure if she'd be overcome with any emotion having not been there? But then would Fisher be talking about the CEO recruitment when he's technically stepped up alongside his 'chairman' status (if that what he goes by now) after previous changes with him taking a back seat (or a seat away from the forefront to concentrate on the 'stadium' etc) didn't work out? Or is he on his way?

Think it's raised more questions than answers

I hope so, all the noises coming out from then suggests they have no intention of going soon.

The club's owners have written an open address to Coventry City fans...

I’d like to start by apologising to each and every CCFC fan. None of you deserve the dismal result of relegation.

This season has been one of extremes - the unbeaten run in the Checkatrade Trophy culminating in a tremendous day at Wembley; the Academy continuing its phenomenal success and being crowned champions of the PDL. These two extraordinary events paradoxically occurring in the same season the first-team are relegated defies belief.

I was overcome with emotion when the club made the Checkatrade Final, and I can only try and appreciate how it feels to have the club you love and have supported for so long be relegated to the fourth tier.

There have been numerous mistakes made this season. Firstly, player recruitment in the summer was not good enough; the appointment of Russell Slade who, albeit a good man and successful League One manager, was not a good fit for the club given its current predicament and focus on youth players.

This was something we tried swiftly to address. We have brought Mark Robins back to the club because we believe he is someone who can successfully rebuild CCFC. I am sure you all see some of those improvements in the short time he has been here. This summer will be one of change and reform as the club has already stated.

Our plan and aim has to be promotion next season; a return to League One and then upwards from there. I understand it is a time of great uncertainty as a CCFC fan, and this is not a position I like any more than you. But we are working hard behind the scenes to secure facilities that will allow the club to retain and develop its treasured Academy, and we hope to be in a position to provide a further update by the summer.

We all understand the economic and emotional importance of having a stadium the club can call its home. We are working to achieve this. In an increasingly competitive football climate, it is imperative that we can grow the club to put as much talent on the pitch as possible. We want to give Mark all the support he needs to get out of League Two, with immediate effect.

Lastly, we need to ensure that the club has a CEO with whom the fans can communicate, liaise and bemoan to, when necessary; a leader who can engage with the Sky Blue community at large. We are in the process of recruiting this individual.

As owners, we must take responsibility for the club’s position. Looking back on this season, I wish we could restart. However, as a great man once said: “We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.”

What an amateurish way of trying to deflect attention from ongoing negotiations! Do they think we're stupid?
You know the answer to that don't you.

Whilst I am, like everyone else, mystified at the reasoning behind the letter, I have to say that as expected, people are being a bit harsh.

You could take that letter word for word, and if it had been written by theoretical new owners, it would be getting praised to the hilt, however (as one would expect) it's getting slated, and people picking out grammar and spelling mistakes.

Think it would have gone down better had fans and fans groups not had to point out such an act of contrition was expected and necessary

A spontaneous act of taking responsibility rather than a measured and carefully worded one

Yeah, why not sign it? Nothing is ever straightforward. Interesting this comes out on the day of takeover and "further negotiation" shenanigans.
It's on the official club website
It's headed "Joy Seppala has written an open address to Coventry City fans..."

Not difficult to determine who it's from, signed or not

Now no but they have changed the heading since it was first issued, following comments about the lack of clarity as to who wrote it
