I think fisher wasn't there as he thought he might get more attention than he likes. He's not stupid he possibly knew that somebody might just take a pop at him at the final game so stayed away.

I would agree I do believe he has a financial investment yet no control over who sisu sell to, yet It would be impossible for a Hoffman bid to include fisher as that would devoid many fans backing of them

To be clear, it's not what I'd want. I'd much rather someone like Hoffman (despite his faults) who is a fan and has the clubs interests at heart. All I meant is that if Fisher removed the owners with a consortium of his own it would be better (theoretically) than Sisu staying.

Yep, we have never known who SISU's investors are and if Hoffman pulls off a deal i would want to have disclosure on anyone who had 5% or more (current FA/EFL rules allow shareholders with less than 10% to remain anonymous).

I know what you mean.
But you also have to question how much have SISU been advised by Fisher? SISU don't have much in the day to day running of the club, Fisher does. He also had a big hand in the sixfields debacle. His ideas have caused a huge amount of damage to the club.
I want SISU gone, but replacing them with Fisher isn't a step forward IMO.

FWIW, I agree the problem is the owners, targeting the figurehead just leads to a spell where fans decide the new bloke is alright really, it shows SISU have learned from their mistakes... and then we see it ends up same old, same old.
FWIW I think under different owners, Fisher could have been alright, as the general football decisions are not unreasonable.
However... ultimately he's gone into this with eyes wide open, he knows what SISU are about, and he's chosen to be a board member. Ultimately, the board members have contributed to the mess the club is in. So while removing SISU has to be the priority, it needs to be a clean slate, and we can't accept any excuses from anybody who's been part of that failure.

Well some of his general football decisions, were to agree to Venus becoming manager, to then compound that decision by appointing Slade. Those were 2 of his major footballing decisions he has made in the last few months,I doubt if many fans would call them enlightened appointments.
Plus of course he was at the forefront in the disastrous 'footballing' decision to take us to Northampton. If we are to believe him, he has spent the last 4 years, seeking to build and develop a new ground with an integrated training facility to apparently benefit the football side.

As far as I know there has never been any explanation given as to why, after so much searching, so many sites being identified, so many times suitable sites were down from three to two, they have stopped searching and instead have identified the Butts as their target. I know most people never believed them anyway but you would think that after so much BS they could at least try and provide a plausible answer. ( I know they were never really looking but they can't say that can they).

It costs too much to build a stadium. It's much cheaper to share an existing one. This is all short-term thinking of course. But the long-term is too murky to even consider.
From my POV he is like Ranson,autonomous in the strategy followed.
First contact with the club when took on the Prozone sale,around June.
First talk of ACL part acquisition came around October/November time Fisher officially surfaced December.
No reason to suppose he hadn't been beavering away behind the scenes.
And thus the Web began to be spun, in hindsight the early reference to tidying up the books was innocuous, strategically setting the ground for, well we all know how that went.

Probably involved a bit earlier as Otium Entertainment was incorporated on 21 April 2011, clearly preparing for a strategic administration.
I'm not sure SISU thought they'd have to pay so much to get out of admin.

Assume you're counting Hoffman and Elliott in that too? For what it's worth I'd be more willing to accept they want what's best for the club since they are fans. The fact they've been in bed with SISU doesn't sit great with me though.
