He said he was buying land in 3 weeks too. Till it happens anything Timmy says can be discounted.Timothy said he had investors didn't he for new stadium/BPA upgrade?
Exactly my point mate, his lies have no limits. He said he was buying land in 3 weeks too. Till it happens anything Timmy says can be discounted.
What's the rent going to be from your insect overlords?
Surprised we haven't got to stage 3 yet - what's the hold up?
Given SISU's default position of putting any organisation that they do business with in court............why would CRFC ever consider getting involved with them? Unless they like paying enormous barrister fees??
You are promoting distressing ccfc for wasps?Get the feeling that Butts will do regardless of cost for some because Wasps own the Ricoh.
Am I alone in thinking that it's a straight forward business decision based on rental costs, access to revenues and capacity ?
Stage 3 .. What's the rush ?
Let Sisu stew a while as dismal season ticket sales hit home.
Fans, finance, Wasps all in place waiting for Sisu to smell the coffee.
May need to wait until JR's is exhausted.
No point in putting on offer in yet but I'll let you know before it happens.

Distressing CCFC for CCFC and Wasps,You are promoting distressing ccfc for wasps?
All of them ?How many related businesses to CCFC have they taken to court?
Have you any idea what sort of a non league ground you have just described as if it's like it's some sort of positive thing and way forward for a club that just took 44,000 fans away to Wembley !?Not that I think we'll end up there (although I said that about Northampton) I think people are overestimating the work required to bring the Butts up to L2 standard.
Whack a temporary stand opposite the current stand and you easily meet the capacity requirements. Similarly temporary turnstiles can be added.
F&B etc can be done out of a van if needed or some other temporary facility. Same with toilets, bring in temporary facilities.
Would need to be a stadium control room and press facilities and a perimeter around the pitch but once you've done that you're pretty much there.
There have been temporary stands there before so planning for that shouldn't be an issue. As for infrastructure and ability to cope with the number of people expected how are they going to cope with the large outdoor shows?
There's no doubt in my mind that if the club wanted to and CRFC also wanted to everything needed could be in place for next season and certainly by the season after when our deal at the Ricoh expires.
I think you'll find that once built, the planning is substantially longer. No there is not. A prior permission lapsed in 2008 a fresh application will be required.

You lost me at "Deep Pockets "Planning permission isn't an insurmountable hurdle, it really isn't. If a developer is persistent enough and has deep enough pockets then it's not rare for them to find a way even in the most unlikely of circumstances. There are a lot of other obstacles to the Butts, (not least of which is Jon Sharp refusing to deal with SISU) and the council could (and would) make it painful but getting PP certainly isn't impossible.
Personally I don't think it's beyond the realms of possiblity that we'll end up moving out of town again and groundsharing. I'm not for one moment saying that I want that to happen, but if it did I bet the Butts would suddenly look like a relatively attractive option!
As for CRFC, they were hardly unique in failing to adjust to the professional era. They're certainly under much better management now, and at least they haven't felt obliged to up sticks and move 100 miles from their home town to 'survive'.
I've said thus many a time! Not that I think we'll end up there (although I said that about Northampton) I think people are overestimating the work required to bring the Butts up to L2 standard.

But we have just been promised that we will.be pushing for promotion so it it will need to be league 1 standard.I've said thus many a time!
We've just turned into stadium snobs!
Tbf, you say L2 standard?? What is that because what you propose (F&B from a van, couple of thousand extra seats), is no more than what Scunthorpe offer and they could still be back in the championship next season!!

You sound ridiculous and give credence to the club destroyers that have brought us to this appalling state.

Which, like I said about 'L2standard'! What exactly is 'L1 standard'?But we have just been promised that we will.be pushing for promotion so it it will need to be league 1 standard.
No but even with our worst season in the last 50 years we've still drawn upwards of 8,500 and more !?I wouldn't use Wembley as a benchmark as we won't see most of those again.
BPA not going to happen, spoken to a senior person at CRFC who confirmed this, didn't give the reasons but would you get involved with SISU if it was your business ?.
I don't mind the move ether, closer for me can walk it from my house in 25 minutes.Which, like I said about 'L2standard'! What exactly is 'L1 standard'?
Just because as fans we expect 25k seats minimum, easy access, huge car parks, 5* dining F&B!
What exactly does L1 and 2 standard mean?
Oxford, only have 3 stands!
Port Vale, falling to pieces and has a complete miss match of seats!
Scunthorpe, who I mentioned earlier, serve F&B from a burger van in the corner of the stand.
The list could go on and on.
I'm not saying it's a good move or that I want the move but............ it's not impossible!

That's it divert the question.
What I don't understand is that people moan about paying £100.00 rent for the Ricoh.
But are happy to pay a similar rent at the Butts after investing millions on building it.
Who will pay for this ground it is alright saying you have investers but they are just that, so will want a return, certainly wouldn't be doing it for the love of the City, or the Rugby.
Get the feeling that Butts will do regardless of cost for some because Wasps own the Ricoh.

Aye, we need to reclaim the new ground discourse from SISU.That's funny 'cos I get the feeling that some people would happily screw the club right over for the sake of a few quid in their pockets.
Personally I'd have no problem with the Butts or a ground elsewhere in the City even if substantially smaller. That doesn't mean I think it's going to happen, I actually think it's more likely that we'll be on our travels again at this rate.
Regardless, when I look at those insect logos all over the ground, and think of all the rank hypocrisy from the people who were outraged about CCFC moving to Northampton but are happy to give Wasps a free pass, then I feel a little bit sick in truth and I'd really rather be somewhere else. Appreciate others differ, particularly those who are benefitting from Wasps financially, but that is the way I feel.

Sorry I missed where Wasps have done wrong in all this ?That's funny 'cos I get the feeling that some people would happily screw the club right over for the sake of a few quid in their pockets.

ACL also took the club to court on more than one occasion. And of course ACL also started the legal process that led to SISU placing the club into administration.Higgs took the club to court, and then had to defend a counter-claim, and ACL and latterly Wasps are (or were) technically only interested parties in the main action.
Did you forget the part where they moved from London?Sorry I missed where Wasps have done wrong in all this ?
You can't be as stupid as you come acrossSorry I missed where Wasps have done wrong in all this ?
