Well if you criticise Mrs May you're a 'saboteur'. Maybe treat her and her party with the same scepticism you show the opposition.
Never said I was backing the Tories but just think labour are the wrong party to lead the exit out of the EU but of course carry on ranting

Just not sure a well known euro skeptic is the right man to lead new trade deals really. Equally labours policies around creating increasing red tape around unions, collective bargaining is going to drive a wider wedge from businesses in the U.K. That was fine with services back in the 70 s when they couldn't relocate but we don't have that luxury.
Personally think there needs to be a balance and neither of the main parties are offering that in my opinion, both too far extremes which obviously divides opinions. Shame there isn't a strong third party who could offer that, lib dems blew that one four years ago

Sorry, it really irritates me when people use the word 'around' in the context you have there.

Corbyn sat on the editorial of Labour Beiefing - an extremist rag that openly applauded the Brighton bombing of Tory MP's. What was the death of 4 Tories - a start apparantly.

The puppet master Mcdonnel said he wished he'd killed Margeret Thatcher himself.

There are numerous articles and journals that show their association with the terrorist movement. Read them and learn.
What about Mandela? Freedom fighter wasn't he?

And some think the Tories are slightly right of centre haha

They are. May is a classic Liberal politician which is why the ultimate liberal Cameron gave her a prime ministerial role. This government is far from Right Wing.

Give me some examples of their centrism then G. Shall we start with grammar school expansion?

Grammar school expansion should be encouraged. It allows working class people an opportunity to thrive and prosper in an education system that is skewed towards the elite.

The (of course) grammar educated Shirley Williams destroyed the system with the introduction of the failed comprehensive system. A typical left wing stance of suppressing education opportunity for the working classes whilst continuing to ensure that the political left elite and their offspring continue to benefit from the grammar system or selected educational establishments. Even that old socialite John Crudas ensured his children has a selected education. Westminster girl Harriet Harman and the absurd Dianne Abbot couldn't even be bothered to hide what they did.

Research surveys from the Houses of Parliament conclude that expanding grammar schools would both widen and cement inequality, far from shortening the gap. This is because more affluent children have in-built advantages when it comes to passing the 11+ (more access to a tutor, more socioeconomic capital), and going to a grammar tends to lead to higher salaries later in life which in fact makes the problem of inequality worse, not better.

The research on this is dead against you, good sir. This is before of course we examine the teaching crisis in England which means comprehensives are already well short of the staff they need. Building more grammars will see more teachers simply migrate to them and leave comps in an even worse state.

That is interesting - what research is that? Who commissioned it? While you are looking can you explain why many "left wing" politicians and their offspring use selected education?

It always fascinates me why on earth would working class people knock an education system that offers opportunity to all. It seems many would rather moan about their inability to earn a good salary or buy their own house rather than recognise and embrace a system that genuinely encourages excellence in those most able and willing, to maximise their potential regardless of background.

Depends if Grammar Schools get the same budget as the Cmprehensives.

If that doesn't happen and Grammars get favoured... that means those late developers, who don't pass an exam at an arbitrary age, are handicapped.

If there were equal funding for all state schools, then I'd be all for a grammar system. Is that in the Conservative policy to commit to equal funding? If so, I'll applaud them for it.

If that's the case then I look forward to the government actively selecting the bottom 10% of students in the UK in terms of attainment at the end of KS2 and taking them through the grammar school experience.

Jez getting some support in Leam

West Midlands Labour could only dream of that support in the Mayoral election.

There must be some reason why Corbyn choose Leamington Spa for a visit so soon after the Labour right's defeat in that election.

I'm guessing Leamington is very low down on the seats that Labour can win.

Can see some drastic action being taken at local council level throughout the West Midlands by the grassroots of Labour to stop the West Midlands becoming another lost Labour heartland like Scotland.

Whether you like Corbyn or not it's clear that the rejection of Labour in Scotland and Wales is down to a) it being taken for granted for so long and b) a clear rejection of the Blairite 'Red Tory' regime.

This would have happened irrespective of who was in charge of Labour.
