Letters, why is everybody writing letters and faxes that don't get anywhere!!!!?
If I was an MP tasked to do something I would write a letter, I would have the same letter sent in email form. I would also speak to the relevant person by phone.
When I needed to report back to my boss I would not be saying 'well I sent a letter but didn't hear anything'. ( that's just not an acceptable answer). That's not how an MP tasked to do something should work.
My boss would be rightly asking 'well,what did they say to you on the phone'
Two things should happen now over the next few days. The club and the MP contact Wasps. Let's see if they do.
Worrying thing is, without a new CEO around Tim Fisher will do the negotiations with Wasps.
His record so far in such matters does not fill me with confidence

Re the Telegraph, when people damn them for the shite they write about the Club and their PR (alleged) for Wasps, those people get slated for having a go at the paper, and yet when the Telegraph actually say something negative about Wasps those that normally defend it say its just a Chinese whisper and its rubbished. Strange that.

Nick Eastwood was Wasps chief exec, was replaced by David Armstrong. Armstong is now being replaced by Eastwood.

There was an interview with Eastwood in the CT yesterday where he said "“We haven’t heard anything from the football club ... If and when they wish to talk to us, of course we are always willing to talk and listen.". Seemed a bit odd to me as the talks ended when Wasps refused to continue speaking with the club so you would expect, if their stance had changed, for them to inform the club of this.

He was also asked about mediation. Previously Chris Heaton-Harris was appointed by Tracey Crouch (sports minister) to mediate. Eastwood stated "All we know about that is what we’ve read in the public space. We haven’t been approached by anyone.”

Today it has been confirmed that Heaton-Harris did contact Wasps by letter and received no response.

Maybe that's what he believes. Do know you know for a fact otherwise?
If he had personally been aware of contact. It's pretty stupid to say to a newspaper that there hasn't been any. As the MP will just say he sent the letter.
If you are told as part of your job toarrange a meeting with someone. Would you send a letter. Then when you heard nothing just leave it at that.

Nope. Pressley was in charge when we played away at Sheffield United in Stokes' debut, I was there.

Would Mowbray have signed him if he wasn't already at the club? I doubt it very much.

You could actually ask if SP wanted him given it was an initial 27 day loan. So Mowbray actually signed him twice. Pretty sure that means he wanted him.

Of course they would be willing to talk, any extra money in their coffers from a ground that wasn't built for them will be most welcome. We will be allowed to stay on terms profitable to them which means we will continue to take a financial hit which our competitors do not. Still, it's that or a groundshare outside the city.

Are we taking a financial hit though? We pay 100000 rent and get over 70000 back from the 50% profits on F&B. We have no responsibility for stadium maintenance etc..

The present rent deal is not really 'taking a hit'. We played about 26 games at a net rent cost of a bit more than 1000,00 a game. About 12 pence per spectator per game.

We know Mr Eastwood struggles with geography. He went on record to assure fans at Wycombe that the club remained committed to the south west area of London. Then he claimed that the move to Coventry reduced the travel time for many fans.

This was odd as he then stated 92% of fans were of a CV postcode. Perhaps maths also isn't a strong point.

We know see that he has recollection problems as well.

He was on an initial month loan which I assume was to do with transfer regulations. Either way Mowbray was going to not renew and the only reason he signed him till the end of the season was because he failed to get Sam Ricketts from Swindon in March.
