We seem to be a lot more organised than last season. And seem to be getting in the right type of players. Lets hope there's more on the way.

He looks like Adam Armstrong in this picture !

Marc is a natural goalscorer who is comfortable using either foot. He’ll be a real threat for us.

A target man for me is a must in league two. Let's hope one arrives this summer

Hopefully Widdrington will be at the V9 academy trials to snap 1 or 2 up

For any Cov fans reading this

McNulty is one of them players that doesn't look good and doesn't seem to work hard either
He didn't score at Bradford on loan last season and they thought he was terrible.

However he is capable of scoring goals from nothing.
He can also capable be having a poor game then come up with a goal.
He's a talented boy that has potential but often flatters to deceive.
Should do very well in league 2, like he did when on loan at Portsmouth.

My mate is a Bradford fan. He said McNulty was really crap for them.
He said he is very quick and nimble and a drop in standard may do the trick.
He was spot on when he summarised Clarke and Reid for me.

Hmmm. Will trust Robins judgement but strikes me that he didn't exactly set the world alight at this level, looks more 10-15 than 20-25 a season. Still proof of the pudding is in the eating, we will see how he does. Right age and experience though which is promising.

I think if we think a player is a 20-25 probability, then a bundle of teams (including league(s) above us will be after them too - we're likely to have to hope that a 15 goal striker has a very good season, or a prolific non league striker (Newton?) can make the step up.

One thing for sure, at least Robins and Widdrington ain't fucking about like Mowbray and Venus did
Couldn't agree more, at this rate we are in danger of hitting pre-season with most of our
Business sorted, that alone will make a huge difference to our chances.

Out of interest, what did your mate think of Vancelott

It will help MR when he knows which of ours (if any) are re-signing, too. Really hope George Thomas stays.

How long do our out of contract players have to re sign before we start replacing them?

Really? I'd have thought we are a catch for a L2 bound player. I'd have hoped for an up and coming lower league player TBH. Just because it's my belief that goal scoring is a natural talent and that players either score goals or they don't. Could be bollocks of course, but it's my belief. It's totally gut feeling, but his record doesn't scream goals to me.

Of course now he'll score 30 by Christmas.

We need someone to create chances now for the strikers, still not sure on Kwame but beavon and McNulty soynds interesting assuming he stays of course

Certainly Robins seems to know the type of players needed to get results in League 2. Comments from other clubs as always should be taken with a pinch of salt, the situation at our club is a fairly unique one and a lot depends on how Robins wants his team set up as to how these players will perform.

2 year contract is a definite positive though, shows intent to try and build a team and not stack it with loanees.

From what I have seen he makes space in the area for himself and he knows where the goal is. If we can get the ball to him he will score goals. If we don't he will look poor.

I think he will do well for us. He has a decent manager to learn from. He will be up against big lumps in defence that he will make space from. All we need now are the players to find him in the box.

we need 1 more striker if robins happy to keep beavon and kwame thomas

i personally would like 1 more winger(2 if reid leaves) and number 10 behind the strikers, maybe baker? lol

we need another central midfielder(deegan?)

2 cbs needed

1 right back

maybe 1 experienced keeper

leftback is ok if haynes and stokes resign

so thats 8 players required yet for me.

I think baker would be good in the number 10 spot, although he will be lacking pace... fuck deegan

Sounds near enough right, I said we needed 10 in with the contracts offered out too.
A target man for us to feed off will help massively away from home and on the poorer pitches.
I'm for a baker return or a player like baker who can pick a pass and also gives us a set piece threat. We have no set piece man, every team should have a threat from a free kick. We still need that attacking midfield threat, a creative sort.
I'd like a experienced defender adding, someone like Scunthorpe's David Murfin or in the mould of Nathan Clarke. A man who will battle and head everything thrown in our box and a younger central defender who's comfortable with the ball at his feet and who has 100+ apps. A balance of experience and pace in the back four will compliment each other.
I'd still explore a experienced keeper too. There are a few available.
8 more signings to come for me, maybe more when the future of players with contracts offered decide, Beavon and Turnbull too. Not forgetting Willis, Harries and Stevenson.
Could need another 10 signings yet. A very busy summer
