I haven't mentioned NOPM or it's workings. I just asked how Hoffman working with the Trust could be used to put pressure on SISU and how fans can help.

Not saying I support any of the specific attempts to destabilise or engage with the owners, but 100% understand why people are doing it.
Surely number 1 isn't an option for any ccfc fan ?

The consortium are just building up ties so if ever Sisu release the stranglehold it hits the ground running. Similar with Wasps/ACL where once it happens everything like long term deal / academy etc is all in place.
Jos/Sisu are not talking,so dare we mention that without you putting their case forward for them ?

It's another one of your posts that doesn't actually explain or have a point.
I said how can fans make a difference and apply pressure, "try something" isn't really an answer.
I could "try something" by going and shouting at a wall, I was trying to figure out the methods really that fans could actually help the bid.
Raising money is about the only one I can think of.

It's not a "standard response". If you want to have a say, the trust is a viable media to do so.
Turn up, have a say and it will be taken on board at the meeting, if people disagree with you, then debate occurs, if people agree, then the trust can take that forward, whether that's with the club or not...

if the trust continue to champion nopm and more and more fans start doing it then at some point it might make sisu more likely to sell up and go as they see no light at end of tunnel investment wise.
wether that would happen or not its the logic behind fan pressure. the consortium wont do much but release statements to keep fans aware they are ready and waiting.

Yeah but all I am trying to do is figuring out how that will force a takeover, there have been protests for years.
If they want fan help, they need to say how the fans can help and what they can do properly rather than people like Italia and others stirring things up with the "pick your sides" crap as it just lowers it down to a bit of PR.

Fan funding is a way, but then if they are now going to ask the fans to chip in it goes against the "208m" line that's been thrown out there from the guy in Stratford. I don't expect him (or hoffman) to throw every penny they have had ever in, far from it.
If however they need fans to get involved with money then spit it out even just with something official where people can "pledge" what they can put in.
Richard Overson had a rallying cry for fans the other week, but he didn't actually say what he wanted fans to do.

The Trust has never championed or supported NOPM - we have said time and time again that it is up to the individual to decide. The idea behind announcing things now that we have been in discussions with Hoffman et al is that at some point (hopefully sooner rather than later) we will be approaching the fans with a proposal of a community share issue as part of a new offer to SISU. We didnt want it to suddenly come out of the blue and hopefully there may be some other high net worth individuals who might see that the consortium and the fans (well those who don't mind being represented by the Trust) are working together on a deal and might be of a mind to join in. There are a few issues to discuss and agree with the consortium but nothing drastic before we can launch the community share issue. The idea is NOT that the Trust will somehow rally the fans into storming SISU towers and force Joy to sign over the club but more to show that the potential new owners want to truly involve the fans following a similar ownership model to the Portsmouth one.
This isn't going to happen overnight and this is just the first step towards a joint bid but as Lao Tzu said "a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step".

I remember when the old first division routinely had 6 or 7 midlands teams in. Everyone's gates were similar except villa and forest who were better supported.
Albion, Blues, Wolves, Derby, knicker stitchers, Stoke all had massive decline in support due to dropping a league or 2 which only returned when they started to go back up the leagues and eventually into the Premiership.
Our crowds have held up OK.

Do you know how much you are looking to raise? Will this be then used for purchasing the club up front or for ongoing running of the club?
Can the plan the trust had for ownership and shares etc not be altered slightly and used?

They have put 3 bids in and got a "limited" response. he doesn't know how to get Joy to engage.
The truth is, very few people do.....
If I thought that contributing to a FT ad would help, outlining to hedge fund investors what SISU had done to our club, would help I would do it, but it probably won't.
If I thought not going to home games but going to away games would help I would do it, but it probably wont
If I thought banners or masks would work, I would buy one, but it probably won't
If I thought this PR campaign would work, I would support it, but it probably won't
All I know Is, there is more chance of them engaging by doing some or all of the above, than there is doing nothing.

Fair comment, and I'm on board with the shares issue idea.
I still think that the questionnaire that the trust carried out relating to a shares issue was done on behalf of a third party, (perhaps the consortium), despite a denial from some one fairly senior in the trust, not that I have a problem with that, just an observation.
