The CCLSC list above on this thread does show you how much stronger we could have been if we could have kept hold of some of our best players....

dunno why but this disappoints me a bit. didn't pull up trees here but thought he had comeback to crack on with his career after failing at Newcastle.

regardless of how far weve fallen nobody dreams of playing for Motherwell, its either Robins didnt want him or he chased the money, shame as given a proper run witha decent partner he'd have become a bit of a Cov hero I recon

No, I am saying it doesn't influence what he does on the pitch during matches or alter my opinion on the football side of things. I don't doubt he is religious.

Because he is religious and from Burundi it doesn't instantly mean he can get away with bad performances that he had the first 2/3 of the season before he started to improve.

If it was Kiel Reid turning on the performances for Wembley and leading up to it and because his contract was coming to an end it would have been a different story.
For once I actually agree with you!

I'm with some of the posters so far, you watch when he underperforms at mighty Motherwell and is released I bet the headlines will be "Bigirama given short term contract at Coventry" and he will trot out the same BS about how he loves the club and the fans and wants to help take us back to the Championship.. .
Bollocks to him and I love Cov shit, he wont make it even up North in that soon to be independant country called Scotland, well hopefully
Also he will praise the lord for giving him this opportunity.

That'd be around 1.5mill after tax and National insurance.
Exactly. He tried to portray himself as this humble young guy come back to look after his new family but now he's swanned off to Scotland for, what I'm sure, wouldn't amount for much more than we offered him.

I sound bitter which is weird because I wasn't really bothered about him staying or going but I just feel like he is either really badly advised or just a hypocrite.

Average wage in league 2 is £40,000

Irrelevant as I quoted a club not the league.

Average P League wage in Scotland is £200,000 a year

You would have thought it would have to be a fair bit more money to want to uproot his missus and baby away from home to move up there though?

He will be on 6 times what he was on here easily ,
Who wouldnt go for 6 times your yearly wage ...

I'm sorry to see him go. His form improved under Robins, and I'm sure he would have been a real success for us in the coming season. Best of luck to him in the frozen North.

So we are only paying him £8,000 a year - I know he is crap but that is a bit harsh

Say what you want about Scottish football but the fact remains he's just gone from a country's 4th tier to a country's 1st tier. He'll be playing at Celtic park and Ibrox, there's no stadiums / crowds like that in this league.

I won't be sad but can't blame him.

6 times would mean double their average wage means he was on £16k a year here and about £300 a week.

Quadruple their average salary and a 6th is still then only £32k at about £600 a week.

Wish him well, but very surprised by the move, as thought he was settled down here with family friends etc.

Cant see this being for the money, nor quality of football which is now quite poor, so I will buggered if I know why he made this move, as I think he could have done better. His agent probably has a lot to do with this, and if I were Bigi, I would look for a new one.

He wasn't on a lot ,his agent said he had dozens of players on twice what he was earning playing non league football

You said 6 times the wage. The highest Motherwell players will be on £1,200 a week - one sixth of that is what players at Cov Utd get

Didn't you hear that Diane Abbott was appointed Finance Director at CCFC a while back ?? ;)

How do you know that 1.2 k a week ???

Have you read the link above? Average wage at the club is £50,000 in a year.

They average less than 5,000 fans a year.

Care to retract the 6 times comment?

I really don't see what the fuss is about to be honest.

Very hit and miss, and in general was a player that was the epitome of our relegation. We should have never signed him back on loan last year, let alone this year.

Yes, he did have some really good games, but overall I think he can be easily replaced. Best of luck, but time to move on.

I didn't think he was able to play in the SPL due to an illness?

Not too concerned about this one. If he'd signed then fine and if he'd left then again, fine by me.
