I think if Bigi left then almost certainly George Thomas will be leaving too as he'll have a lot more interest due to only being 20 and having a good season.

Have you ever played or watched Scottish football?...Didn't think so, so don't talk out of your arse!

Not having a go here but you're another one with misguided conceptions of Scottish football. SPL is IMHO at least mid to top end Championship or lower EPL.
15 years ago maybe but the standard has gone through the floor. Celtic circa 2000 would have made lower EPL - Larsson, Sutton, Thompson, Lennon, Lambert et al. This year Aberdeen, who were a comfortable 2nd and challenging Celtic in the 1st half of the season, have a squad that is comprised of several players who were decent L1 players. Just look at Adam Rooney's scoring record in Scotland vs his clubs and record in England. Scottish football is still entertaining and passionate but way off the standard of upper championship - about a whole division lower than your estimate I reckon. Lower champ, upper L1.

I agree, top half league one, bottom half championship if you take out Celtic and possibly Rangers who will build themselves back up again with there revenue streams.

Plenty of league one and two players gone up to Scotland and achieved careers up there but so called top end SPL players like Stevie May and others scoring for fun weekly have failed to make the transition the other way to EFL

At last. A reply to one of my posts that isn't condescending. I think you'd be very surprised at the standard of Scottish football being played atm. Each to his own opinion of course, but deserving of a reply in the same civil manner ;)

If that's the case how does Motherwells English content of their squad comprise of players recruited from Chester, Plymouth, Wrexham and one whose career graced the dizzy heights of Swindon Submarine? Wages dictate ability - wages on offer are sub league 1 and the players are from sub league 1

You say he is average, but we are playing at a level that is below average so surely he could of done a job for us.

Mmmm-not sure, couldn't do a job for us in L1 consistently.

Could of last season but didn't weekly, or for 96 mins at a level of consistency.
Showed he didn't have the real fight to go again in league two for the club he loves and a place he'd like to settle with his family.

You're joking right? Outside of Celtic it's all league one/two standard

Look at Leigh Griffith's, average league one player who looks like ronaldo in the spl.

Anyone remember Steven Jennings? Star player in the spl and now playing conference football.

Think the only misguided conceptions here are coming from you. Massively exaggerating the quality of the SPL.

No. he gave the ball away endlessly every game. nothing to say he wouldn't do same in L2. no improvement since he left us. his only asset is his commitment, I can't fault him on his work rate. he will enjoy Motherwell, piss easy, shite football, more money. no brainer. wish him and his God good luck, better players needed for L1 if we return.

It doesn't really matter does it?
He's made his decision, although I thought he would move to a local team so he doesn't have to disrupt his family.

Perhaps Motherwell was his only option

I went to the last Celtic Rangers game. When did you last go to a game in Scotland?

And unfortunately had to endure many more on TV (or is that not an an appropriate way to view and make an accurate assessment of the quality of a game of football?).
